Chapter One
Holding a warm cup of tea, Elma slowly made her way to the terrace of her house. Taking a slow deep breath, she reveled for a moment in the fresh air of her surrounding which was a result of the Wonders of Nature. After a while she became lost in the moment. Elma reflected on her life and those parts that was beyond comprehension. She always wanted to know what was missing in her life, so she called that moment "a moment of contemplation".
Elma was 25 years old and a peerless beauty. She had all qualities needed in a woman, but she felt that she wasn't ready to build up her own family. Being a doctor by profession wasn't at all easy for her as she still has a lot to do before settling down.
Elma has a younger brother, they were the only children of their parents. They live in town with their mom and life wasn't too difficult for them. Elma's mom worked as a teacher in a neighbouring school near their vicinity and her younger brother, Tom is a high school student. Their father died several years back, whenever Elma's thought goes to her father, she wonders if there is a mystery behind her father's death. Till now, Elma's mom was hellbent on not telling her the cause of his death. She knew not to bring it up again because it always bring tears to her mom.
While other's thought that Elma's life was going smoothly, Elma herself knew it's definitely not that way. Sometimes, she finds herself being confused at the kind of person she is. She always sees herself in a mysterious light.
Elma started noticing this side of her at the age of seven. She sees herself doing things out of the ordinary. Later when she discovered that she possessed some powers, she was shocked to the core, her behaviours to a certain degree wasn't something she could comprehend. Elma wondered if she is a human, and despite all these things that happened to her, she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone about it.
Elma wished she could trade her powers and live a normal life like others.
When Elma noticed that her powers served as a difficulty for her was on a particular day, she had a dispute with her colleague, they almost got into a fight but Elma held herself back. That same day, Elma didn't know that her colleague sent someone to deal with her, it was not until she got off work and was on her way home that someone ambushed her at an alley down the street. It was already late at night and not much people were there. Just as that person was charging at her with knife in his hands, something inside her told her that the person was sent by her colleague. Elma knew at that point that it was her power that was speaking to her. That revelation resulted to her anger, and her sudden outburst caused her to be fully possessed by that power and before she regained herself, she discovered that the man charging at her with a knife had stabbed himself instead. It was then that she realized that her powers can harm people. After that, she started disliking her powers as a whole.
