(Colton’s POV)
She marked me. We claimed each other. And then suddenly, I’m standing in the Moon Goddess’s realm.
Yep — I’m dead.
I guess dying from happiness is a thing after all. Never thought I’d go out this way, but hell, I’ve never been in love before, so maybe this is how it ends for me. Sean and Josh are going to have a field day with this. I can already hear them now — “Mr. Ruthless died because he finally got some.” They’ve always teased me for waiting, though Sean wasn’t exactly one to talk. Josh never knew that part, though.
A soft laugh pulls me from my thoughts, and I find myself standing before the Moon Goddess herself. In school, we learned everything about her — the one who created us — but standing in her actual presence leaves me speechless. I move to bow,
