Lyra is confused and annoyed at the same time. She can see the girl is clearly a student, so how come a student is now a dorm mistress? And f**k she just addressed her as a nobody. Is she even aware of who is standing in front of her? A warrior and not a lowborn as they thought, fools. This girl is not entitled to say that to her. She clears her throat and tries introducing herself. "I'm not a nobody, I'm L...." "Lina Volkov, of moonlight pack, who's a lowborn? Isn't that you?" Cersei interrupted, and Lyra immediately shut her mouth closed. Unlike those boys from earlier, this girl spoke calmly and derogatorily. Like she was all full of herself. What if she herself isn't an alpha's daughter? She would certainly be melting for her accent. The way she spoke shows she's of high class, and she also looks important for her to have five minions and for her to be able to chase those guys away. "Lina the lowborn, I oversee the lowest-rank dorm, so I'm in charge of every student in here. You know the staff of this academy can't stoop so low to take care of or rather handle the affairs of you lowlifes, so that's why I, being among the best students and set to graduate next year, was assigned to watch over you all and make sure you are all in line" she explained, flaunting her hair from side to side. 'I think I will have to take my queen bee crown from her and put it on my head instead, because what the f**k does she think she is? With her long neck screaming for freedom' Lyra said inwardly, a scowl vivid on her face. "You're on the wrong side of the dorm, so come with me!" Cersei turned around and started walking away, and she immediately picked up her luggage and started going after her, but she was pushed aside, and she stumbled, almost falling down. "How dare she walk in front of us!" "Useless lowborn!" It was her minions who hissed and walked ahead. She only pinched her inner cheeks and started walking behind them. They entered a different passage and got to the other side of the dorm. Then Cersei stopped and pushed a door open, and they all entered another passage. "So Lina since you're the first here, you will have to wait for others to come first because I can't give you a tour only, and then when others come, I will start again. No, no, I can't. I can't waste my energy on you lowlifes" Cersei said, her hands following her words, and Lyra rolled her eyes inwardly. "So while we wait for the others, you will go into my room and clean it for me because you will be my personal servant" Cersei said, and Lyra frowned instantly at her statement. Servant? "Yes, yes, she will all be our personal servant!" One of the minions following her added, and they all laughed. Lyra stared at them in shock; she can't be a servant. She has never done any house chores before, and now they're making her their servant. "What? I can't be servants to y’all !" She spoke up, and they all stared at her, their laughter dying down. "She’s actually speaking up!” One of them gasped. “This isn’t what I came to this school for; I can’t be you all's servant. You’re all ruining the school's name and reputation with such antics and…” *SLAP* Lyra stumbled backwards the moment a heavy slap landed on her face. “How dare you talk back at me!” Cersei growled. Lyra’s hands crawled up to her cheeks as the pain hit her badly, with tears stinging the back of her eyes. It’s merely a day since she got here, and she has been shown what lowlifes face daily here. In her entire life she has never been slapped, not even by her father or stepmother, nobody has dared raise their hands against her, but this girl dares to slap her. Is this how she’s going to be humiliated in place of her stepsister Lina? Is this what she’s going to endure daily? Lucian. Lucian, her twin brother, is the only reason why she’s here; he’s the only reason why she agreed to take the place of her stepsister, and even while she’s here, she’s still scared. Her brother is disabled and mute, but even with that, he’s the most handsome guy she has ever seen, that even her stepsister always loves to flaunt around him. She can’t remember how many times she had stopped and warned Lina from going over to her brother's room and how she’s scared that she will use him for her s****l reasons, and now that she’s gone, it’s still making her feel scared. Deep down she feels like Lina, her stepsister, deliberately shared those rumors about her being lowborn so that her Lyra would take her place even though she’s past the age of a freshman because she forwent her admission three years ago just to take care of her brother, and she also felt she didn’t need the academy because her training was far better, and this Cersei is probably just older than her by a year, or they might be of same age. She dropped her hands down and glared hard at Cersei. First she dared to call her a nobody, and now she had the guts to hit her. She tightened her fist as they were beginning to turn white with her red blood fleeing away. “What’s going on here?” Came a cold, manly voice, and Cersei immediately moved backwards along with her minions. “Prince Ezekiel!” They all greeted respectfully. Lyra lifted her head up through her hair that fell over her face, and she locked gazes with him. A Greek god, his eyes radiating a shade of red and black, along with his hair that was neatly combed and gelled backwards, his uniform was also ironed as well, and the sleeves fit him in a way you could see his abs and perfect body. His skin was white and pale, and Lyra could immediately tell he was a vampire and a prince for that. He stared at her so deeply, and she held his gaze as well. Something crossed his eyes that she missed because it was too fast, then he looked away, breaking the connection. “Zeke, what are you doing here?” Cersei asked, her voice light and polite. “You, follow me!” He pointed at Lyra and started walking along, ignoring Cersei. Lyra immediately kept her luggage aside and rushed after him before Cersei could stop her. Her eyes were fixed on his back, and he was so tall with broad shoulders. They kept walking in silence, with none saying a word to each other, and each time she brought her head down, she would feel his eyes on her, making her raise her head up, but she couldn’t even catch a trace of anything. This was the time she needed her wolf the most in life; this was the time she needed to connect with her, but unfortunately she can’t. She can never forgive her father for what he did to her, for the atrocities he committed to her, and she’s promising herself that once she’s out of there, the first person to terminate is her father…for hurting her wolf, he must pay dearly with his life. They entered a gigantic hall, and she found a seat and sat down while he left without saying a word to her. The guy was so handsome that she’s starting to wonder if her twin brother is actually the most handsome guy she has ever see . Soon the hall was crowded with students, and the dean climbed the stage. “Firstly, we’re welcoming the freshers of the year 2026!!” He announced, and everyone started clapping except Lyra, who kept staring at the dean blankly. She wasn’t interested in all of these talks, and the dean went on and on, while she was so absentminded until she heard… “The freshers test will commence tonight as always, and we are expecting great stats!” Everyone clapped in accordance, and this time Lyra got worried. Her heart palpitated against her ribcage, unsure of what to do now. The freshers will be starting off their tests just to know everyone’s strengths and skills, and something in her tells her this will be a rough path for her. What exactly will she do now?
