ISABEL “I can’t believe you’ll be leaving me all to myself in this annoying pack.” Rachel’s voice was a bit teasing. Her brown eyes were filled with tears that threatened to pour down anytime soon and her black hair splayed around the bed. It was as if all the air in my lungs froze as I realized that this would be my last night in this pack which I was raised. My entire life, I had spent every seconds, minutes, hours and years and finally this was my last night. My wolf Ria coiled within me with a bit of worry. My body froze after I processed what she had said and an old memory I thought I had buried deep in my mind seems to flash in my mind. She stared at me as I cleared my throat, softening my tone as I tried to make her understand. “Believe me Rachael, Ray is a very big asshole and he doesn’t deserve someone like you.” A cold chill spread through my body as I remember his dark green eyes that had darkness in them every time we met. Her expression hardened as she continued staring at me at it felt like I’ve never know her all this while. “He doesn’t deserve me because I’m not an Alpha daughter like your?” My mouth fell opened. “Rachael, that’s not what I meant-“ Rachael head fell back on the bed as she began to laugh and roll, her hands on her stomach. “You really took me serious, didn’t you?” She muttered, another laughing bubbling up as she nudge me with her shoulder. “Hey. And they don’t matter to me either.” The patrol arm sounded and Rachael jumped from the bed, muttering some curses. I need to go Isabel, I’ve got patrol duties.” I straightened up as Rachael climbed out of bed trying to wear her boots and quickly heading to the door. “Be careful out there.” I called out and She turned giving me a smile. “You know tomorrow will be your big day Isa, get some sleep Luna to be and stop worrying.” Sometimes she could predict my thoughts without me telling her. I flipped back into my bed as soon as she closed the door, brimming at how perfect tomorrow will be as I walk down the isle. Just maybe if I had stayed in bed than my everything would have been perfect. But sleep was far away from me. I tossed around the bed and feeling restless for no reason. Maybe it was anxiety from my wolf. I finally gave up and decided to go for a walk. I threw on my robe and stepped of the room into the chilly night. I honestly didn’t know when I got to the building where the Leonard were staying for the short time here. The building that housed my future husband and mate. Few years ago when my father announced my enegagement to Jonah Leonard Alpha heir to the Thorneblood pack, i wasn’t happy because i knew this was my father’s attempt to make an alliance and still uphold power. So this was just a bargain. I was angry and was very ready to sabotage the engagement, but everything changed when i started getting to know him, i realized that he was a sweet, caring and friendly person.
