CHAPTER 25
After leaving Linda, I barely had time to make it to my appointment with Rob Winston at Wright Detective Agency. Surprisingly, this was the first time they had met me—Michael—in person. He had hired them sight unseen and transacted all the business over the phone.
I explained my situation and the urgent need to be discreet. He understood and explained that they regularly provided security to area celebrities and visiting VIP’s, and even occasionally to supplement police protection. Further, most of their security agents were ex-military—many of them special forces, so we should get along. He told me he had a couple in mind that would be perfect.
We set a time for me to meet my “security team,” shook hands, I paid a deposit, and that was that.
