That night, I had to decide which bedroom to use. Host would likely choose his own if he could even bear staying at all. I chose comfort, which meant taking over the master. Who would judge? I had a little hesitation about sleeping in a bed formerly occupied by their relatively recent tragic death. I got over it. After my morning run and shower, I scrounged around in the kitchen for coffee and breakfast. There were plenty of choices. Fortunately, someone had the foresight to empty the refrigerator of perishable foods. I found oatmeal in the pantry, along with brown sugar. No problem. They also had a fancy coffee maker, much to my delight. With a lot of time to kill before my appointment with Mr. Whitmore, I decided to take a tour of the area.
