“Let’s get this over. ” He said as he suddenly shows up in my boarding house’s doorstep early in the morning. I immediately got up from the bed and fix my hair down. “Huh?” I innocently asked. “Exactly what are we going to end Calix?” I completed my query. Honestly, I can’t seem to internalize it properly. Is he pertaining about our arts project which is due tomorrow? That’s new! He never really cares much about projects…but I can’t say he’s a badass student either. Besides, he is a smart pants with a very impressive logics. “Herena, it’s not working for us,” he said without looking at me. Not again… “Hey,” I touched his arms. “We’ve already talked about this, right? We can do it. I understand-” “No you don’t!” He cuts me off with a sudden rise in his voice. Anger and…pain? are visible in his eyes. It nearly makes me cry for it was only the first time he freaked out this way! He seems to notice it and tries to make his approach more calm. “Not a simple glimpse Herena.” He said trying to hide his darkening aura behind his relaxed eyebrows and tightly-twitch lips. Heavens! God is indeed maleficent with this masterpiece. Stop the thoughts Hena, you two are being serious in here. “It was for your own good. I want you to be out of danger. My name Dexigrous alone, spells danger!" Yeah…you were Calix Cole Dexigrous, a great Mafia son whom I am dangerously in love with. Damn myself for being childish this moment! “This is mafia…and we are still very young to handle that. I hope you understand.” He looks at me for response but it seems like everything stops within me that I can’t even say a word. “I guess this is goodbye.” He bent over to give me a peck on my cheek and whispers bittersweet words... “I love you...goodbye!” Calix dropped out from our school and I couldn’t contact him either through his phone. He left me without trace. I tried tracking him up but to no avail. He’s a Mafia’s son for Pete’s sake, I can never find him if he wishes to hide from me. But upon realizing the cause of our breakup, my hope springs out once again. He left me not because he doesn’t love me anymore; but because I am too weak to match his character. I should start eliminating the side of me that is not appropriate for him -my weakness.
