Chapter 45 - Coming Home.

I woke up and saw Sarah packing my bags. I looked over at a outfit at the end of my bed. I got up and she turned noticing me. “Good morning young master!” She said and I cringed. “Don’t call me that!” I started to change and she turned away. “My apologies, you leave in a hour. Everything is packed. Breakfast is being served in fifteen.” She said and I looked at her. “Thank you.” I said walking out and down to the dining room. I sat down next to Barion and he nudged me. “Good morning.” He said and I nodded. “Jordan stopped by not too long ago. He’s unhappy you’re leaving but understands.” Barion said. “I wish I had been awake to say good bye.” I said as food was placed in front of me. “Josh I am upset you couldn’t keep your cool. I shouldn’t have to hold you back.” Barion said taking a bite. “I’m sorry.” I said. “I wasn’t finished. I’m upset, but man did he deserve it. Man did I not feel a little better watching him get what was coming to him. Seeing him cry like a baby.” Barion shook his head and laughed. I couldn’t help but smile. Not too long after both Liam and Izzy showed up super tired. We all ate in mostly quiet. None of us looking forward to traveling home. Sarah came in and informed us it was time to go. We all filed into the car and started our long journey home. Punching Finn was the topic of choice for most the ride. I tried to sleep on the plane like everyone else. Just trying to get everything to go faster. I felt exhausted once we landed. It was starting to get night as we walked out to meet Jensen after collecting our bags. Jensen stood by the car as we walked out front. Jensen instantly hugged Barion and they laughed. “Barion! I’m so happy to see you.” Jensen said and I reminded myself that Jensen hadn’t seen Barion in awhile. Liam walked over putting luggage in the car. He grabbed mine and put it in as Jensen pat my shoulder. “Good to see you Josh.” He said and I nodded. We piled into the car and I felt a little excited to be home. Eclipse was not as great as I had thought it always was. I couldn’t wait to get back home. We started to get close and I couldn’t sit still. “Look at him.” I heard Barion. “It’s almost like he’s ready to jump from the car and run the rest of the way.” Liam said with a laugh and I shook my head. Finally I could see the pack house and I gripped the door handle. I opened the door as soon as the car was at a full stop. My mom came running down and hugged me. “Joshy are you ok?” She said and I laughed. “I’m fine now that I’m home.” I pulled from her embrace and looked around. I finally spotted her talking to Liam slightly pulling away when she saw me walking away from my mom. The smile on her face grew and I couldn’t help but smile seeing it. We walked to each other and I wrapped my arms around her. I held her tight and she did the same. After a moment we left our embrace. “I missed you!” Daisy said in her cheery voice and I laughed. “I missed you too.” I said and slowly looked over at everyone staring at us. “Alright, let’s go have dinner. You’re dad is stuck in a meeting at the moment. He’ll join us later.” My mom said and everyone started to walk in. I grabbed Daisy’s hand and we slowly walked. “Come on Josh, you’re so slow.” She said pulling me. Once the last person disappeared from sight, I pulled her to me and kissed her. She giggled and then pushed herself up towards me to kiss her again. I wrapped my arm around her waist as we deepened our kiss. I forgot where we were and what was happening. “Wow you must’ve really missed her.” I heard and we broke away from each other. I looked over at Uncle Arnold passing us by and going into the pack house. I felt my face flush with the embarrassment and Daisy started searching her pockets. I let go and took a step back. “Sorry, you’re covered in my lip stick.” Daisy said as she pulled out a handkerchief and started cleaning my face. I smiled at her as she finished. “There!” She said and I took her hand. “Come on, let’s go eat.” I said and we walked inside. When we got through the doors I saw Uncle Arnold talking to Andy and Lydia. “There you guys are!” Andy said as we approached. “We’re heading to the dining room.” I said stopping by them. “Is it true that you punched Finn?” Lydia asked me and everyone looked at me. “Yep. Right in the face. He cried after I did.” I started to laugh. “Josh I don’t think that’s something to really be proud about.” Arnold said. “I doubt any of you would’ve done differently in my situation.” I said and looked at Daisy. “What situation is that?” Andy asked and I looked at him. “If he called Liddie a b*tch, would you not hit him? Relentlessly calling her names?” I said and Daisy pulled on me. “Is that what happened!” Daisy asked surprised. I nodded and started walking towards the dining room again. I pulled Daisy along with our hands still firmly clasped. We walked into the buzzing dining room. The table filled with almost everyone. I went and sat at my usual spot and Daisy sat next to me. “Josh I got the footage! You were right, our high school needs a lot of improvement.” Henry said and I nodded. “I have a lot of notes and trainings we can talk to the teachers about trying. We can talk about it more on Monday.” I said. “Monday? You won’t be around tomorrow?” Henry asked. “Technically I’m supposed to still be in Eclipse. Feel like I need a mental day to adjust back.” I said and smiled. I guess if uncle Dec needs me, he can call or something.” I said and Henry nodded. “Of course of course.” He said. “He mentioned about our trip to the college once you’re back, I figure we won’t be home long.” Henry said as he started to eat his dinner. I looked at Daisy and she shrugged not knowing anything about that obviously. I really didn’t want to leave right away.
