After getting back Daisy dragged me toward the pack house. We got to the front doors. “Well, bye.” I said walking in. “Seriously?” She said unamused. “You’re probably going to go hang out with Izzy and I’m going to go take a nap.” I said going up the stairs. “You’re not going to come hang out with us?” She asked. “No.” I said getting to the top of the stairs. “Josh!” She called as I opened the door and went into my room. I laid down and closed my eyes. I heard the door and looked over. “So you’re going to just ignore me now?” Daisy asked standing in the door way. “I spent most the day with you today. How’s that ignoring you?” I said getting annoyed. “Um the way you are acting right now Josh.” Daisy said. “I don’t want to go have girl time with your friend. Go have fun with your friend.” I said closing my eyes again. “I want to have fun with both of you.” Daisy whined. “Oh my goddess you’re too clingy.” I said without opening my eyes. There was silence and I finally looked at her. She looked upset. “I’m not clingy.” Her voice was flat and angry. “We spent the day together, like everyday together. That’s not enough for you?” I said in a obvious rude tone and her face started to change to looking hurt. “You know…” Daisy sighed. “F*ck you Josh.” She turned and slammed my door. Her words stung a little and I laid back looking at the ceiling. I spent the next few hours letting the guilt take over me. It was soon time for dinner and I reluctantly pulled myself up. I slowly made my way to the dining room. I walked in and saw Lydia and Andy talking. They stopped when they saw me. “You’re early Josh.” Andy said. “Only by like, twenty minutes.” I laid my head down on the table. “You ok?” I heard Lydia ask. “I’m perfect.” I said. “We heard your door slam earlier.” Andy said. “Oh yeah?” I asked. “Come on Josh.” Lydia said. “It was nothing.” I replied quickly. “It doesn’t look like nothing Josh.” Andy started to sound concerned. “Well, I made my only friend upset because I said she was a clingy friend.” I sighed lifting my head up. “That’s why you heard my door slam.” I crossed my arms. The doors opened with Henry and Izzy appearing. They were heated in their discussion as Izzy came and sat next to me. “Josh.” She turned to me. “What?” I said with a sour note to my voice. “You need to go apologize.” Izzy said sternly. “To who am I apologizing and what am I apologizing for?” I said not looking at her. She kicked me. “Ow! D*mmit! What the f*ck!” I said looking at her. “Joshua!” I looked over at my mom standing in the door way. “She kicked me!” I said to my mom. “Sorry Aunt Hannah. Josh made Daisy cry, I told him he had to apologize. He told me no!” Izzy said and my mom’s face turned to anger. “Josh you made her cry!?” Lydia said in surprise. “He did.” I heard Henry say and I could hear the malice in his voice. I pushed my chair up and started to walk to the door. “Where are you going?” Andy called to me. “Away.” I said and my mom followed me out. “Joshua you go apologize this instant.” She said in her stern voice. I didn’t say anything as I made my way up the stairs. “Joshua Jean Greyback I’m talking to you!” I stopped in front of her barrier and crossed my arms. “Josh.” “I’m not going to go apologize.” I said angry. “I’m not going to pretend I know what’s going on, but she’s been nice to you. What ever you did, you need to apologize.” My mom said approaching me. “And you’re certain it’s something I have done? Just like in Eclipse. Always my fault.” I started to become frustrated putting my hand on the barrier. “This isn’t like Eclipse.” My mom said softly. “It is.” My anger was rising I felt myself losing any control I had and punched the barrier. It suddenly dropped. “Josh…” I heard my mom say. I didn’t say anything for a moment. “Just leave me alone.” I said walking into my room. I looked at my hand, already bruising and shaking. I went to the bed and sat down. I covered my face and heard the door open. I heard foot steps. “Let me see it Josh.” I heard Lydia and held my hand out. Warmth washed over my hand as she healed it. “Do you want to talk about it?” She said as she sat down. “There’s nothing to talk about.” I said. “Josh let’s be real. Something is going on with you.” Lyida said and I sighed. “Nothing is going on!” I said yanking my hand back. “It’s like you’re sinking deeper into depression or something.” Lydia said. “I’m not depressed!” I snapped at her. “Fine! You’re not depressed. Daisy has been nice to you with out expecting anything in return. That should count for something.” Lydia said and I crossed my arms. “Everyone wants something.” I said. “What do you want Josh?” Lydia asked me and I thought for a moment. “To be alone.” I said. “Oh Josh.” Lydia sighed and got up. She walked to the door and opened it. “Well?” I heard Andy whisper. “He wants to be alone.” She said closing the door. I laid in bed that night, upset. I looked at my phone as it got closer to midnight. I sat up and put on a shirt. I walked out of my room and quietly down the stairs. I got to the front doors and opened them. “Josh?” I heard and turned to see Izzy there slowly approaching the door. I put my finger to my lips to signal to her to be quiet. She smiled and walked away. I walked out and made my way slowly to Daisy’s house. I got to the drive way and took a deep breath. “This is so stupid.” I said low. I touched the ground and watched as daisies sprouted all over their grass until the yard was filled with them. I looked at them for a moment. “This is so stupid.” I said again shaking my head before hurrying home.
