Army of Hell

This story takes place in a world with angels and magic. There are no demons and no God in this s********e of the lore is Christian based while some I made up for the storyline. Key biblical figures are Lucifer and Raphael, Micheal the other archangels and Azazel. Angel society is class based on your wings and halo size, they equal power and authority. This was of course a flawed system that lead to much infighting and unfair treatment of humans and Angels alike. Angels consider themselves above humans, who they saw as animals with a tendency towards violence. This is not to say that they were less violent than the humans, no that's not the case just less introspective. It's is far easier to see the flaws of others than ones own. In the past Lucifer, Michael and Raphael were brothers who learned and grew together but times changed and so they created 3 separate groups of angels. Lucifer's faction was indifferent towards Humans, they were like ants to lowly to care about. Michael was more lenient and believed they should help those lesser beings develop, Azazel was part of his faction. Raphael believed that Angels should be deities who control everything for the lowly human scum that crawled on the earth's surface rather than soaring in the sky up above. A war broke out between two factions which Lucifer attempted to use to gain power above his brothers. In the end he was defeated and as punishment was flung up towards the sun which was supposed to burn away his wings and cast him downward towards earth. Lucifer was however one of the strongest and most cunning of the angels, so he escaped without any real harm. He fled his family and plummeted down to earth. for there he made a hole into the core of the earth which held a similar magic to the sun. Lucifer used his energy to create a new kingdom of his own, he carved sky between the core of the earth and the ground, though it was much closer to the surface the the sun is to the earth, he still had a sky to fly thru. Over time his wings blackened due to the heat and proximity of the earth's core . Later when the two armies of Michael and Raphael again waged war Azazel who was sympathetic towards the humans flew down to earth and shared his knowledge to the humans. According to the book of Ennoch he "taught the art of warfare, of making swords, knives, shields, and coats of mail, the art of deception by ornamenting the body, dyeing the hair, and painting the face and the eyebrows, and also revealed to the people the secrets of witchcraft and corrupted their manners, leading them into wickedness and impurity until at last he was bound hand and foot by the archangel Raphael and chained to the rough and jagged rocks of [Ha] Dudael, where he is to abide in utter darkness until the great Day of Judgment, when he will be cast into the fire to be consumed forever.[27]"(wikipedia) This story takes place a few hundred years later. the angels are still fighting so many left heaven to escape the constant batteling some settled on Earth among the humans while others found their way down into Hell.
