I was a bit shocked that Astra would want to sympathize with Emilia even when she had done so many terrible things to her.
I was happy to know that at least the pack would not be filled with lots of wars and troubles.
At least I knew that no matter what they would be on each other's side.
“We’ll deal with it,” I interrupted her, my tone firm. “But we need to be careful. We don’t know what’s driving him to act like this. We need to approach this with caution.”
But I knew why he was acting like this. He was trying to come after me somehow.
“We’ll figure it out,” I said again, my voice softer now. “But for now… can we just be here? Together?”
She looked at me, her eyes searching mine for a moment before she finally nodded. “Yeah. I’d like that.”
