Ace’s POV
I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal but then I knew it would be terrible to tell her. “It’s complicated,” I repeated, knowing it wasn’t much of an answer.
Raven gave me a look that said she wasn’t buying it. “Everything’s complicated, Ace. But you know Astra’s my best friend. If something’s going on, I want to help.”
I sighed, sitting up and resting my elbows on my knees. “It’s just… there’s something I’m keeping from Astra. Something that’s not mine to tell. But it’s causing problems between us.”
Raven’s expression softened. “Ace, you know secrets are a killer in any relationship. If it’s really that important, you need to find a way to share it with her. Otherwise, it’s going to eat away at both of you.”
