Ace’s POV
I sat alone in the garden, staring blankly into the distance, my mind replaying the conversation with Astra over and over.
The garden, usually a place of peace where I would usually come to think, felt like a suffocating prison.
The vibrant flowers and carefully trimmed hedges did little to calm the pain inside me.
I kept seeing the hurt in her eyes, the disbelief, the anger. I had never wanted to hurt Astra before, but here we were, and it was my fault.
