I shook my head, taking a step back. "And I’m supposed to believe that? After everything?"
Ace sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. "Yes, because it’s the truth.”
“She came to you of all people. Not her best friend or to her group. Not even to the alpha. But you. I don’t believe it.”
“It’s the truth babe. I would never cheat on you, Astra. You mean everything to me."
I wanted to believe him, I really did. But the image of him in Emilia’s room, the thought of them together, was too much to bear. "You’re a liar," I spat, turning on my heel to walk away.
