When he finally pulled away, our breathing was ragged. He inhaled deeply, resting his forehead against mine.
Zaila, I need to see Alpha Monty in my office.
Did my father just joke? Alpha Monty.
"My father needs to see you in his office." I told him reluctantly, looking into his different coloured eyes.
He couldn't hide the displeased expression on his face at my words. He slowly lowered me to the ground and let out a sigh. He didn't say a word as he opened the door again and walked out, heading back toward the pack house.
"See you later, Monty!" I called out after him, standing in the doorway, a proud, smug grin coming onto my face as I watched a member of his pack bringing over his luggage. He stopped dead in his tracks. I could sense the anger radiating off of him. He shot me a look from over his shoulder before he continued to walk. That look sent shivers down my spine as I stood there and gawked at the man that was my mate.
Oh, I was in for it later. But at least, I wasn't dead.
"Um... Hello." The Blood Moon pack member said nervously. "Where should I put this?" He asked, holding up the bag.
He was awfully tall too. And fairly muscular. Was everyone at Blood Moon this tall and muscular? He had bright, green eyes and sun-bleached blonde hair.
"I can take it." I said with a smile. Instant regret took over me as I took a hold of the bag and almost fell over. Why was it so heavy? Even with my werewolf strength and Alpha strength, this was ridiculous. The man at the door watched in amusement as I struggled to hold onto the bag. "What's your name?" I asked the man before he left.
"Gabriel. I'm the Gamma of Blood Moon." He told me with a smile.
"Nice to meet you, Gabriel."
"Please, call me Gab, Luna." He sent me a bright grin. Obviously, he heard the name I called Alpha Montgomery.
"Just call me Zai."
He nodded in acknowledgement with another smile before he turned and left. And I was alone again. I pushed the bag inside. There was no way I was lifting that up. I closed the door and leaned against it. I inhaled deeply, the scent of my mate was still lingering in the room.
I went into my kitchen and looked around for something to do. What could my father possibly want with my mate? I know what I could be doing with him to pass by time. Instinctively, I pressed my thighs together from the earlier interaction.
Go put on something sexy for him when he comes back. My wolf told me with excitement.
I rolled my eyes at her. Werewolves usually completed the mating process within the first few hours of finding their mates. Especially Alphas. I looked at my reflection in the microwave and touched the side of my neck. I wonder what his mark would look like on my skin.
The front door busted open and I grew excited until I wasn't meant with his overpowering scent. Instead, it was my best friend, Bree.
"Do you see all those hunky and sexy men out there?"
I leaned against the kitchen counter and watched as she trotted inside my house.
"That Alpha? Who is he? He is... He is sexy."
A growl erupted from me. A sudden possessiveness and protectiveness took over me as I glared at my best friend.
"What's stuck up your butt?" She asked with a frown.
"That is Alpha Montgomery. Alpha of Blood Moon." I told her, at the mere mention of his name and I was smiling like a child on Christmas day.
"Oh, someone's got a crush?" Bree asked with her eyebrow raised.
"He's my mate, Bree."
The woman stood there with her mouth agape, eyes wide as she froze in her spot.
"Damn..." She said softly. "There goes my shot at trying to persuade him to make me his Luna." She wiggled her hips in a seductive way, her tongue poking out of her mouth.
"I need to talk to him about that. I'm the future Luna of this pack." I told her.
"How much time have you spent with him?" She asked, leaning forward across the counter.
"Not much." I frowned, helping her to reach the cookies by pushing them forward.
"Let's go to that little stream behind your house and just take a breather. It always helped clear our minds."
