I spent most of the next hour pacing back and forth in my father's office. We went over everything that we needed to discuss in the meeting with the Alpha of Blood Moon.
"What's his name?" I asked with a frown. I didn't even know the man's name and I was about to try and ask him for an alliance?
"Alpha Montgomery." My father responded, sitting in the chair across the room.
"Monty, for short?"
"Unless you want to die, call him that."
"I'll call him that if he starts to piss me off."
"I heard someone once called him Monty as a joke and he snapped their neck instantly."
I shivered a little at the thought of it. I didn't want to die today. There was a knock at the door before my mother rushed inside and closed the door behind her.
"They're here. Downstairs."
My frown deepened as I walked toward the door and opened it, heading downstairs.
I stopped in my tracks as a tall, handsome male walked through the pack house's giant door. His bulging muscles threatening to tear through the awfully tight shirt. I inhaled deeply, getting a waft of his magnificent scent. A mix between a woodsy fragrance and an awfully expensive cologne.
My wolf purred inside my head, the word mate leaving her.
He barely fit through the door. He was awfully tall. And his broad chest, that slowly narrowed down at the waist. His bulging biceps, that I couldn't help but want to grip onto and see if he could lift me up with just one arm. Not to mention, the veins that were popping out of his arms.
His head snapped in my direction, his different coloured eyes darkened, locking with mine. And instantly, I was weak at the knees. He had black, curly hair. A perfect, straight nose, a jawline so straight and chiseled, you could grate cheese on it, high cheekbones, a light stubble, and I honestly mind it if he grew a beard, and his eyes. His left eye was a dark green, while his right eye was a bright blue. He had a scar over his green eye.
My eyes drooped closed slightly, watching this beautiful man as he approached me, taking long strides. He slid an arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him as he buried his face into my neck, inhaling deeply.
"Mate." His voice was husky and deep, manly but soft. I gripped onto his shoulders as the strength from my legs evaporated at the sound of his voice. I placed a hand on his forearm. The sparks that ignited from the skin to skin contact was nothing I had ever felt before. It was amazingly pleasurable.
"Alpha Montgomery?" My father's hesitant voice finally spoke up behind us.
The man with his head buried in my neck just grunted in response. As if realising my father wasn't going to follow with anything else, he finally raised his head, a displeased expression on his face.
"Yes?" He asked, a perfectly sculptured and trimmed eyebrow raised in my father's direction.
I blinked a few times as I stared at the man in front of me. This was the Alpha of Blood Moon? He was nothing like the rumours. He wasn't ugly, nor was he scary. He didn't look anything like a feral beast. He was beautiful. Can a man be beautiful?
That's because he's our mate. My wolf finally chimed in. You wouldn't be scared of him or find him unattractive. It's the mate bond.
So you're saying even if I find him attractive, otherwise would find him ugly? I asked my wolf. She didn't respond. Just sat in silence as if thinking the question over.
The two male's had a conversation that I was completely zoned out for. Nothing registered in my mind as I stared at the man in front of me. I watched as his plump, pink lips moved perfectly with every syllable he spoke. I couldn't help but bite down on my lower lip.
Feeling the rumble of his chest as a quiet growl erupted from the man in front of me. His eyes were now locked onto mine.
"Don't do that." He said lowly, his eyes zoning in on my lips. I released my lower lip with a gasp, my skin felt like it was on fire. I realised he still had an arm snaked around my waist. And I was brought back to reality. I pushed myself out of his grasp, standing up straight and smoothing over my dress.
"Shall we get the meeting started?"
"I agree to the alliance."
I took a step back, furrowing my brows at the man, completely shocked before I resolved my composure.
"But you didn't even hear the agreement?"
