I made sure to steer clear of any branches, so I don’t bump into any like I did last time. After walking a couple yards into the woods, Tristan started the conversation, “So what should we talk about first?” “Well, how about what to do with Bryan? I think that needs to be covered first before anything else. What we do with him, decides what we do the rest of our lives, well a bit of what happens in our lives.” I told her. She nodded and started to try and rationalize how to deal with it. Now it’s time for me to think, ‘If we were to make him one of us, he would become another target if we were to get found out. He would also be another person I have to keep an eye on and keep safe. He was ordered by Boss to dispose of me after I complete my mission because Boss views me as a threat to his little organization. I don’t want to deal with any part of the organization after I complete this last mission but based on how things have been so far, that is not likely to happen, and I might have to more jobs then I’d like. I have to find out the best way to go about this. First and foremost, I need Tristan’s decision on what she wants to do. Her answer decided where I go from here.’ I looked around to see where we were. Turns out, we are close to the stream. I can hear the water running from here. I spotted a fallen tree and led us over to sit on it. We can sit and talk here. Once we sat down, I asked Tristan, “Would you like me to go first and list the pros and cons about him joining and not joining, or would you like to say what you think and discuss that after?” “I will just tell you what’s on my mind. If we let him join, I can stop hiding this from him and we can look after each other better. If he join’s, that will put a target on his back and then it’s another person to look after. I don’t want to lose him. Either way, he has a target on his back now as it is. But what if he doesn’t believe us or tries to tell Boss about us? I don’t want anything to happen to him or you. I worry so much about what he might do or say once we tell him, and it scares me. What do you think we should do?” she told me. I held her in my arms then said, “I think that we should tell him, I can always erase his memory if it goes south. Let’s tell him, and see where it goes from there okay? We can tell him tomorrow though; I need a nap before I deal with that. Is that okay or do you want to tell him on a different day?” “No, tomorrow is fine. Let him see you put the spells up though. Then we can……do you smell that?” she said. Puzzled, I sniffed the air and smelt the same thing as before. It was a strange mix of pineapple, mint, and old books. I looked around and saw that just passed the stream, that same f*****g wolf was there. I tapped Tristen on her shoulder and telepathically told her to look the way I was. She slowly turned her head and saw the wolf, but he wasn’t alone. There was another wolf next to him. This one had grey fur and a black diamond on its left hind leg. This time, I couldn’t stop my wolf from taking control for a moment and I guess Tristan to because the next thing that comes out of our mouths is, “Mate.” As soon as we lock eyes with the wolves. Immediately I took back control and dragged Tristan with my as fast as I could back to the house. I transported us to my room without having to go back through the house in case Bryan was somewhere there and try to stop us. Once we got there, I immediately put-up spells before the pain kicked in. Ones that cancelled out noise and made it to where the room expanded a bit to give us both room. Once the spells were done, I took off my jacket, so I didn’t rip it. As soon as it was off, I felt the pain all over my body. When I had discovered that I was a werewolf-witch hybrid, I put a spell that wouldn’t allow me to shift again unless I met my mate. My ass thought that it wouldn’t happen so here I am, in pain from not shifting in so long. The only other thing I heard besides my own screams were Tristan’s alongside mine. Roughly 10 minutes later of bones snapping and rearranging, I was in my wolf form. I looked over to Tristan to see that she had black fur with a white diamond on her right hind leg. She looked over at me and you could see her eyes widen. I pointed my snout towards a mirror hoping she would understand that I want her to see herself. She walked up to it, and I think she stopped breathing for a second. I think she tried to speak but all that came out was a bark. I gave a little grunt that was supposed to be a laugh but of course that didn’t work. “I know it’s a surprise, but I didn’t think we would actually meet our mates. Now, we have to be even more careful about what we do. We can’t go near our mates, and we can’t go anywhere near their territory. That could get in the way of the mission, and they could potentially also become targets if Boss finds out. First we have to shift back then figure out how to tell Bryan, then we have to start tracking down the b***h we came here to kill along with his crew. Imagine yourself changing back into your human form. Then let it go from there.” I told her telepathically. I did the same and felt the same pain from before. Another 10 minutes later, I was back in human form but naked since my cloths got shredded when I shifted. I went into my closet and put on some comfy cloths because I was not going to step foot outside unless I am going to look for clues on the bastard that killed my family. I took down the spells after I saw that Tristan was back in her human form as well. I gave her some cloths from my closet that she could wear so that she doesn’t walk around nude to her room with the chance of being caught by Bryan. “So, we tell Bryan tomorrow, and depending on how he reacts, tells us whether to erase his memory or have him join us. That’s the plan?” Tristan said very slowly and a little out of breath. I nodded my head and told her what we have to do now that we have found our mates. “When we did the blood oath, I put a spell on you so that you wouldn’t shift until you met your mate. The same spell that I put on myself so that I didn’t shift until I met mine. I am sorry and know that our wolf’s are going to be angry and protest like crazy, but we can’t see them until we get everything figured out. If word gets back to Boss that we are what we are, and that we have mates, they will also have targets on their backs and everyone around them. I know it is gonna hurt but we have to stay away from them for now. Please understand.” “Look I do understand, but my wolf really wants to go to him. What if he thinks we rejected him because we just suddenly disappeared on them? I don’t want them to think that and then try to get with some other person. What do we do about that?” she said with a lot of worry in her voice. “Look, I don’t think that they think that. I don’t know how but me and my wolf feel it. First, let’s focus on Bryan and telling him tomorrow. It’s about time that we shower and start dinner. We act like nothing happened and then slowly tell him what transpired. Of course, I will put the spells up and explain everything. His power level will be the same as yours when it’s complete. Well, that’s if he takes it well. If not then we pretend that it never happened.” I said and looked at her. I could see that she was thinking of all the possible ways that this could go wrong. She had tears starting to form in her eyes. I took her in my arms and held her gently and I tried to get her to calm down. “Hey, it’s going to be okay. I know he means a lot to you I feel the same way to. It will be fine and when everything is said and done, we will be closer than ever. Sometimes, even though we are assassins, we forget that we have feelings and it’s easy to get caught up when you have a lot of emotions swirling inside you. Both of you are going to be okay I promise you that. You guys are family, I won’t let anything happen to you or him. Okay?” All I got was a nod in response and a few minutes later, I felt her go limp in my arms. Her ass fell asleep on me while standing up. She has some of the weirdest sleeping positions and places. One time, I caught her curled up on the kitchen counter at the house we were staying at before. I picked her up bridal style and carried her down to her room. After I tucked her in and walked out of the room, I saw Bryan cooking something in the kitchen. How I didn’t notice before, I don’t know but oh well. “So, what you cooking?” I asked him. I guess he never noticed me because I swear he jumped out of his skin. I gave a little chuckle before he answered with, “Lasagna you ass hat, warn me when you are here.” “Aren’t you supposed to be the one with more skills? How could you not notice I was here?” I asked him. He rolled his eyes and said, “You and I both know, that you surpassed me within a year of training. I don’t want to hear that bullshit from your mouth ever again, you hear me?” while waving a spatula at me with an apron on. I gave a small smile that said I wasn’t going to. He rolled his eyes again and opened the oven 15 minutes later to take the lasagna out. I smiled at the scent that flooded the kitchen just moments later. Apparently it traveled fast because I hear a door open just seconds later and turned to see Tristan coming out of her room with eyes slightly closed since she just woke up. I have a little laugh and set the table for the three of us. Once it was set, we all sat down to eat as Bryan put the plates out. After that, we all took our separate showers and went asleep. Although Bryan was not aware of what was to transpire the next day.
*The Next Day*
That morning, I woke up and already knew I was gonna be tired as s**t after everything was said and done. Me and my wolf had faith that it wouldn’t go south or that he would at least not be too angry with us. I sighed, got out of bed, and strode over to the closet. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants, one of my favorite anime shirts, and an oversized cobalt blue hoodie. I look in my mirror decided it was time that I tackled my mess of hair. I took the brush on my dresser and tried to brush my hair. I heard Bryan calling me saying something, so I went to where the stairs were and asked him to say it again while trying to untangle my hair. I guess I pulled too hard, because next thing I know, I lost my balance and started rolling down the stairs. I ended with a big thud landing face first on the floor. I looked up to see that Tristan and Bryan were looking at me with ‘What the f**k?!’ expressions. I would’ve laughed if it had not been or the pain my head was in. They snickered and went back to eating breakfast. I felt my head and realized that I still had my brush in my hair. I quickly brushed through my hair and shoved the brush in my pocket. They set a plate out for me, so I dug in. Honestly, I am glad that Bryan can at least cook, cause Tristan can’t to save her life. After breakfast was done and the dishes were washed, dried, and put away, I asked them if there was anything they wanted to do today to waste time. Bryan, being who he is, asked me, “Shouldn’t you be tracking down that wolf that put you here in the first place? What about that?” “Oh, well today is the final relax day before things start to go haywire. So how about we watch a movie?” I told him. It was the truth since it would only get worse from here. He stared at me for a minute before nodding his head and calling dibs on the first movie. I rolled my eyes and sat down with them as Bryan set up the movie. I guess he was in a childish mood because he decided we were going to watch Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon. For those of you that haven’t seen it yet, I won’t say anything about it, but I would recommend that you watch it. I looked at the time when the movie was over and looked at Tristan to see if she would get the hint that since I was more awake, we should probably get this over with. We made eye contact and got up at the same time. I walked up to my room to set the spells as Tristan talked to Bryan saying that we needed to meet in my room. As soon as I put the last spell up, Tristan and Bryan walked through my door. I motioned for them to sit on my bed, then nodded my head at Tristan to start this conversation since I think it will be better is she starts it off. “Okay, so there are a couple things that we need to go over with you. I can only hope that this goes well. *sigh* Okay, so you know how, uh, um, can I get some help?” pleaded Tristan, but she ended up not being able to finish. I sighed then started trying to explain. “Okay, I will name a few things then you can pick one and we can go from there. I guess first things first, I am half werewolf, half witch. Tristan is no longer a human. We are actual sisters now, and we want you to join. What first?” He just looked back and forth between me and Tristan. Next thing we knew, he started laughing. Which made him fall on the floor. He looked at me and Tristan for a few seconds before his laughter died down and it turned into an awkward chuckle. “You’re not kidding?” he asked hesitantly. I slowly made my way to the door so I could block it. I nodded my head and waited for him to answer my question. It took a few moments before he said, “How about the first thing you said.” “Okay, I can work with that. My mom was a witch, and my dad was a werewolf. I am a Hybrid since I have parents of both races. I found out a little after I first started training with you two. I shifted in the woods after my first mission was completed. I then put a spell on myself that would prevent me from shifting until I met my mate. When me and Tristan became actual sisters, I put the same spell on her. The last trip we took, after the mission was done, me and Tristan made a blood oath. While using my witch side, I cast spells and followed what I had to do so when we mixed our blood and joined our hands, the spell and operation was completed, and we became sisters. She, however, has less power than me. If you were to join in on what we did, you would have almost the same amount of power as Tristan. We both already know that we have targets on our backs. When you told us about the run in with Boss and then now that we are what we are, if Boss were to find out, that target will double. We both know that if you were to go through with this, you will also become a target as well. Honestly, if you don’t we will erase your memory and try to act like this never happened. If you do go through with it, there are things you will understand much better. I need to know what you want to do?” I told him. Me and Tristan both watches him for any sign of movement. “Okay.” This made me and Tristan pause whatever we were doing and freeze. “What?” Tristan asked him confused. I am to, we didn’t expect him to just go along with it. “I am choosing to accept what you have told me. Is there any way that you can prove this though?” He asked. “Um, how about we go through with the procedure, and everything will be understandable then. Just know that if you try anything, we will know, and we will stop you. Also, with the spells I put up, no one can track or hear us. Once this is over, if we are to talk about this, we will do it telepathically and not verbal what-so-ever. That will allow us to get caught and we don’t want that. So, are you sure that you want to do this?” I asked him. He nodded his head, so I motioned him to sit on the floor. Me and Tristan joined him as we sit cross-legged next to him on the floor trying to make a circle. After doing what I did before, this time all three of us cut a line on both of our hands, I changed a few words and recited the spell. They repeated the words, and a glowing ball of light surrounded our hands. While our hands were still connected, we all saw another vision like thing again of each-others past lives up to this point. Bryans was a little bland to be honest. He doesn’t talk to his parents much and then we saw when he found Tristan in the car crash, then it showed where he had the run in with Boss and how he was stressed for a week or two until we came home. Honestly, I was surprised to find out that he cared this much for us. Well mostly me since I knew he loved Tristan like his own daughter, but still. Once the ‘show’ was over, we let our hands fall down to our laps. The next words that were spoken came from none other than Bryan. “Holy shit.” After a few minutes, I used my witch side to look through his head to see what he was planning to do with what he now knows. As far as I can see, he plans to keep it a secret. He knows that now he’s a part of this, if we get found out, he is also a target. I let out a sigh of relief and fell against my floor. “I hope you know that I will be keeping this a secret and that I am with you on everything.” Bryan said to the both of us. I nodded my head and said, “Okay, I went through your thoughts anyway and I know you’re not lying. If you were to lie or think of telling anyone in the organization, I will know and so will Tristan. If they find out, we are all gonna end up dead. Now, I think that it would be best for me to sleep a little before I pass out from using so much magic. I haven’t used this much in a while and it’s catching up to me. You are gonna talk to your wolf and in the next few minutes once your body gets used to the changes, you are gonna shift for the first time. I wish you good luck, and I feel as if I am gonna pass out from how exhausted I am. If I don’t answer in the next 5-7 minutes, I am asleep. So, in advance, Goodnight.” I went and flopped down on my bed and turned towards the wall and let my eyes close. ‘Tomorrow is another day with a lot of stuff to do.’ Being my last thought before I fell asleep.
