Chapter 15 What should I do?

I was woken up by a loud banging from downstairs. I contemplated going to see what was going on or just staying in bed and trying to ignore the noise. I guess I was answered by my door slamming open. I turned my head towards my door to see Tristan coming towards me with a little bit of a worried expression. “What is it?” I asked her, curious to know what might cause her to worry this early in the morning. “Bryan still hasn’t shifted back yet.” She said in a quiet tone. I immediately got up and went downstairs in a rush. Tell you what though, seeing a werewolf in my kitchen was not a cite I was prepared for. There stood Bryan, in his wolf form, standing in my kitchen. I glanced at the clock to see that it was about 12 o’clock. So, I slept from whatever time it was yesterday and half of the day today. I am guessing that he stayed in wolf form the whole f*****g time. “Did you ever shift back at any given time?” I asked him. He shook his head and barked so I guess that is a no. I let out a sigh and said, “Bryan, and whatever your wolfs name is, shift back right now.” I don’t want to use my alpha voice because he seems to be enjoying being a wolf, but I might have to. He shook his head and started to jump in place making ma a bit upset. I guess I have to use the Alpha voice. “Bryan, shift back right now.” A couple seconds later, He is now naked in his human form. “How the hell did you talk like that?” He asked me. “I am an Alpha werewolf, since I am an Alpha, I have something called an Alpha voice. It lets me enforce commands that I give if a werewolf in my pack doesn’t listen. Or if we were all rouges, like we are since I am not making a pack, I can command you to do things anyway. But if you were to be an Alpha as well, you would fight me on it and try to prove that you are more dominate then me rather than just listen. But I don’t really like to use it much, especially on you or Tristan. You can’t shift whenever you want now either because Boss will find out quicker if you keep doing that. I have already done away with the trackers that were placed on us and the microphones they placed as well. But enough of that, we need to start looking for the group of bastards that killed my family. We are gonna start with the police and ask if they found anything. If not, then we have to start from scratch and look everywhere for any sigh of who those bastards are. Last thing I remember is that they are rouges. Funny but all rouges smell the same so that doesn’t help s**t. And even if I were to pick up a scent, it would be useless since there is no telling who the f**k it came from. Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. But they came from the woods so that is all I got. But I kinda don’t want to go into the woods again on account of what happened last time. I mean it’s not necessarily a bad thing, but at this current time it is. Bryan, you look in the woods, Tristan, you go to the police and ask around. I will go with Bryan and see what we can find. Plan?”  said. They both nodded so we started getting ready. I changed into outside cloths and so did Bryan while Tristan left to see if she can find out anything. Once she left, I met with Bryan in the living room and he asked me, “Where do you want to start looking?” “I think we will just walk in the forest until we find something. I remembered they came from the left side. But I want to look at where……where…my brothers died. I feel like I should look there first, so let’s go.” I told him and headed out the back door. I looked around and tried to remember where the boys were and what direction they went in when I told them to run. I then spotted a really big bush that was right next to a tree. That same bush, granted it was smaller three years ago, is the same bush that my brothers were hiding behind when I came outside to tell them to run and hide. I walked over to the bush and stared at it for a minute. I then walked to the left of it and started walking into the woods. It was a couple of seconds after I told them to run when I heard them scream, which would put me about right here. I looked around to see that it did indeed look like a fight had happened three years ago. Everything is overgrown though to the point that I can’t even distinguish what the hell might have happened. There are claw marks in the trees though, and one of them has fallen over but that could have been at any-time. There looks to be very, very, old blood stains on a tree or two. “Anything?” Bryan asked me. I shook my head and told him, “No, the only thing I know is that this is the spot were my brothers were alive last. A fight happened here but I can’t tell what exactly happened. But look at that tree over there.” I pointed to a tree that caught my eye. It had a little nick in the wood with a bit of blood around it. I walked towards it inspected it closely. This has been here for around the same time as the others and leads to the left of the scene. I slowly followed it and realized that it keeps going for a little bit longer. It’s almost as if it’s teetering on the edge of something. Now it’s going to the right. I followed it and got a chill down my back. Tell you what, I don’t like it. I then here a groan from Bryan behind me so I turn to look and see that he is shifting. “What the hell?” I slightly screamed at him. Once he was done shifting, he stood up and stayed still, then sniffed the air. He looked like he found something and started running. This i***t just shifted, and the worse part is that we are next to a werewolf pack that won’t like it if we tread into their territory………”s**t!” I said and took off after him. I have no choice now I have to shift. I quickly shifted and sped to him while following his scent. I spotted him and jumped in front of him. He skidded to a halt and stood still in front of me. I gave a little growl telling him that he was not going any further. He let out a whimper and showed his neck in submission. I moved my head in a way to show him that we need to move while I told him telepathically, “We need to move, we are on another packs territory, and we need to go before we get spotted by one of their patrols.” He whimpered again and turned around to go back to the house when we heard a growl from behind me. ‘I can’t believe that I completely forgot to keep a look out!’ I screamed at myself in my head. We both slowly turned around to face who ever it was that growled. Once I faced the wolves that were there, I got into a protective position in front of Bryan. His first shift was yesterday and even though he was in wolf form for the whole night, he doesn’t know how to fight in wolf form. They growled at me and Bryan wanting us to submit, nut me being who I am, I did no suck thing and stayed in the position I was. They growled again and this time I growled back saying I wasn’t going to budge. I turned my head towards Bryan a little and told him through the link, “Go back to the house, I will try to settle things here. Go.” He whined and tried to step forward, but I growled at him, and he submitted then turned to go back. One of the wolves stepped forward to get to him but I intercepted him and let off a warning growl. I carefully stepped behind a tree, shifted, then used my magic so that I was wearing clothes again. I poked my head out and cautiously stepped out from behind it. I kept a calm expression and made sure to listen for anything else that may come where we are. One of their eyes glazed over so I knew that he was mind-linking someone. I kept my ears open to listen and heard two more wolves coming 5 minutes later. I knew who it was before they even made an appearance. I glared at the wolf that called for my mate because I was really hoping that I didn’t have to meet him for a while. The wolf looked a bit confused at my glare but ignored it otherwise. “Bryan, where are you?” I mind-linked him. He answered with, “I am in my room in the house.” “Good.” I said back and focused on the wolves that were here. My mate is here, along with Tristan’s mate, a black wolf, a grey and white one, and a brown one. My mate, walked behind a tree and walked back out in a pair of black shorts. Now that I am seeing him in his human form, I kinda have to say that he is really cute. He has short black hair, light blue eyes, and very light freckles on his cheeks. He’s a bit toned and really built. I blinked my eyes and waited for him to start anything. “You know what we are right?” he asked me. I just nodded my head and waited for him to say anything else. He glanced at the wolf by his side and then asked me another question. “Why do you keep running from me whenever we meet? Do you not want me?” He had the saddest look on his face, so I looked at the tree next to me and said, “It’s not that I don’t want you, and before you overreact no I am not rejecting you, right now is not a good time to have anything else distracting me from the mission I came back to do. I have a lot of things I need to take care of before I can even think of trying to be with someone. There’s a lot I need to do and a lot that I can’t tell you. I am sorry but there isn’t much that I can do right now. I am not even supposed to be talking to you because of what could happen. All I can say is that, after I get everything done, I can try to see where we go but I can’t do that right now. It all depends on what happens after the mission actually. “ He looked like he didn’t understand what I meant but then I heard a sound from behind me. I turned to see Tristan in human form walking towards me with a little glare in her eye. “You said that we can’t be talking to our mates because it would make the targets on our back even bigger and they would have targets on their backs as well. So why the hell are you here talking, when we can’t?” Oh s**t, she’s a bit made at me. I guess I can tell her what happened so far. “Me and Bryan were walking and following a trail that I had found. I guess Bryan caught a scent and he shifted to follow it. He ended up going into their packs territory and I tried to get us out before we could get spotted. That of course didn’t work so I got him to leave so I could try to smooth things over since I didn’t want more people to hate us then those that already do. And besides that, when the f**k did you get here?” “I got here about three minutes ago and tried to mind link you, in which you never answered so I went ahead and looked for you. Which brought me here where we are now.” She said. “Did you forget that we are here as well?” a new voice questioned. We looked at who spoke to see that it was a tall guy, but still a little bit shorter then my mate, with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. I guess that is Tristan’s mate. “No, we did not forget, I had to answer her question. Now can I please have names,  so I don’t forget who’s who?” I answered. “My name is Jack Silvers, Alpha of Green Blood pack. This is my Beta, Zach Sedar. The gray and white wolf is Zane, he’s my head warrior. The brown wolf is Petra, a warrior in Zane’s squad, and so is Brandon, the black wolf. You are?” My mate, Jack, said. I looked at Tristan then looked back at him and said, “My name is Sara Davidson. This is my sister, Tristan Jonas. The guy you saw earlier, who is hiding behind a tree five feet behind me, is Bryan Wilkerson, Tristan’s father and someone that is like a close uncle of mine. You can come out now by the way.” I looked behind me to see Bryan coming out with a sheepish smile on his face. I gave him an eye roll that said, ‘I will talk to you later.’ I looked back to Jack and stayed silent until he spoke again. “Do you think you can tell me what exactually you were following?” “A trail.” I told him. I was not about to tell him everything. No matter how good looking he was. “What type of trail were you following though, and why?” he asked me. “A clawed trail, and because I needed to.” I answered back. “Why won’t you tell me the reason you were following it?” he asked another question. “Because I don’t need to. I won’t tell you until everything is settled, and I know for a fact that no one is being hunted. Until then, I don’t know what I can tell you.” I said. “What if I could help? I can try to help you in the best way I can, what do you need?” I have a feeling he is just trying to be near me. If so this is gonna be a problem. “She is trying to find the bastards that killed her parents. The trail she found is a lead from three years ago.” Tristan said. I started getting upset with her, so I used my Alpha voice and told her, “Shut up.” She immediately submitted and looked down. “So, you’re an Alpha too, but what happened?” Jack said. “I don’t need to tell you anything. What I am is of no concern to you nor is what I am doing. We need to get back to following the trail so I can find a b***h or two or ten. I need to go back to following the trail.” I told him. I could feel the walls I usually put up with strangers coming back. He thought for a moment, and I was about to continue walking on the trail when he said something that made me stop in my tracks. “Well, how about this, since it looks like the rail goes into my packs territory, how about you can’t go anywhere near it unless you agree to let me try to help you and you tell what made you come here. If you don’t accept, then you can’t follow your lead and you won’t find them. And if I am correct, there is no outlet that you have found that continues outside of my territory. So right now, you kinds have to choose.” I gave Bryan a look that made him step back a little back, so I turned my gaze to the ground. If it weren’t for my love of nature, I would have tried to burn everything in sight. “Can I have a day or two to think about it. There are a lot of things I need to consider with this exchange.” I asked him. I need some time to go through everything. And if I accept this deal thing, then I need to rethink my whole entire plan. “Are you sure that you aren’t saying this just to run away again?” He asked me with a bit of worry leaking into his voice. I nodded my head and looked to Tristan and Bryan signaling them to begin walking back. Tristan looked at Zach one last time and started walking with Bryan. “I will think about what you have offered, and I will get back to you tomorrow. See ya later I guess.” I said and started walking away.        Once I got to the house, I let out an exhausted sigh. No matter how much I wanted to get on my knees and beg for him, I can’t do that when everything is at stake. That and when other people are around. I shook my head and thought about what he offered. There are so many way’s that this could go south if I accept it and so many way’s it could go right. I walked into the living room to see Tristan and Bryan sitting on the couch. I guess they were waiting for me. I sat down in one of the chairs and started relaying what he had offered. “So, he offered us a deal. The lead that me and Bryan had found that originally started on our territory, ended up in theirs. As of yet, we have no sigh telling that it goes back into our side so the best chance we have is following it further into their territory. Being so, he offered to help us in any way he can, as long as we stay. So, he would let us travel on his property freely so we can do what we need, but he said that in return, we had to stay and tell him why we are doing what we do. He also wants to know what we are doing and how he can help. He said that if we refuse, we won’t be able to go near the property and we will be treated like enemy’s. What do you think is the logical way to go about this?” “Well, that certainly is an offer. It seems like he wants so little in return just to help us out a lot. Also, has it never crossed your mind to ask him for help with what we are doing?” Tristan said. I sighed before I told her, “I didn’t want to bring more innocent people into this then there already are. There are so many things that could go wrong and so many way’s this could go south. I don’t want more people getting killed, and I know that it’s a weird thing for me to say since usually I wouldn’t care, but now that I have a mate and Ella is kinda making me take him and his pack into consideration, there are a lot of people that could end up getting killed when they have no reason to help me. If I were to accept his help, there are more people I would have to look out for. I don’t know what to do with this situation and I don’t know if I should accept or decline his offer. What do you think I should do?” I asked them. This is a decision that you yourself has to make. This is your mission that you are leading. We have no right to decide what you should do. Did he give you a deadline?” Bryan spoke up. I nodded my head and told him, “I have until tomorrow afternoon to give him an answer. But as things are now, I think I already know what my answer is. Tomorrow, I will tell him that I accept his offer, but tell him that for every little bit that we discover, I will tell him a little bit about me and what exactually we do. Let’s go and sleep because somehow, it’s like 9 o’clock at night and since we are in December, it’s cold as hell. I will probably talk more tomorrow, but I need a bit to think about everything.” “Alright then, night Sara. I guess we will talk tomorrow.” Bryan said. “Yeah night guys.” Tristan followed. I nodded my head and went up-stairs to my room. Once I showered and laid down, I let my exhaustion consume me and fell asleep thinking of what might be in store for us tomorrow.
