The next day.. Samantha POV I was still relishing the event that happened last night. As things officially stand, I am no longer a single woman anymore. I have to act like a bride whenever I am around Alexander. A knock suddenly came to the door and I proceeded to go and get the door. When I pulled the door open, a group of men all dressed in black stood at the door. “We are sorry to bother you ma'am. Mr. Alexander has instructed us to come get your things and also you have to be with him in his mansion” One of them announced. “I only signed up to be his bride. The least he can do is allow me to enjoy my privacy” I replied. The man pulls out a form from his pocket and hands it over to me. It was the contract agreement I had signed with Alexander the previous day. “When you check the second clause of that marriage agreement, you will find out that everything that he is doing is actually right because you consented to it” It was the first time I will genuinely read the clauses. My mouth went wide open realizing he had added it to the clause and I did not notice it. Looking up at the men, they were waiting for a response. “Fine, but did he have to bring a whole convoy to come and get me?” I asked, the moment my eyes noticed the three separate black vans parked side by side. “We are sorry if this could draw attention, but we did not know how the size of your luggages could be” They responded. I allowed them to walk into the room and show them some of my bags. They begin to pick out most of my luggage to the car. I was scrolling through my phone for Alex’s number as his men continued doing their work. When I found it, I dialed and he picked almost immediately. “Why didn’t you tell me about the clause in the contract?” I asked, trying to get my act together even though I was angry. “You should have read the contract before signing.” He replied. “But why do I have to stay with you? This is a one year contract.” “Because it will be believable that we are true couples when we are seeing together all the time” He had a valid point but it still did not make sense to me that I was going to be living under the same roof with a man that I barely even knew. I could only hope that he doesn’t turn out to be a problem like Jack, my ex boyfriend. After they were done packing up my things, I locked the door and followed the convoy out of the neighborhood. By the time we arrived at Alexander’s house, my mind was blown away by the huge structure that he had put together. I was an admirer of luxury and seeing he gets it all, I was genuinely impressed. At the entrance of the mansion, he was standing dressed in his usually black Armani suit. “I am sorry if the road trip was inconvenient, my men had to do their job because they will not be free later in the day” He said, ushering me into the living room. My head looked like they were going to be spinning as I sat down on the couch. The interior decoration was one of the best I have ever seen. “I received a call from Mr. Wang and it looks like he has organized an all white party this evening.” He declared. “And what is my role in this?” I asked. “Well, we are going to the party.” He said, pulling out his phone and scrolling through them. “How come you are not even married in the first place?” I asked out of sheer curiosity and my question caused Alexander to tear his gaze away from his phone. “I lost my wife years ago to a shootout and for a long time it has traumatized me what we could be achieving together as a family.” Hearing him talk about his wife with so much emotion had my heart melting. He genuinely loves the woman and it was evident in his eyes. “But not to worry, all of that is in the past now” He said and rose to his feet. “Come, let me show you where you will be sleeping” I took his hand and we both walked over to the stairs. There were several rooms in the hallway till we arrived at one of the rooms. My mind was blown away by the size of the room as we walked inside. It had a king sized bed in the centre and a large wardrobe by the side. “Whatever you need for clothing has been provided and you can pick your choice from the wardrobes” He said. I nod my head as I keep scanning the room admiring the ambience that it brings. “You should start preparing for the white party. I already sent for your clothes. You can have your shower first. When you are done, meet me at the living room” He finished off and walked out of the room. Whatever contract I had signed, it was genuinely not the worst of all contracts and seeing how much I could enjoy myself, I was hopeful that everything was going to happen smoothly. A couple of hours later we arrived at the event centre. So many iconic faces were present at the party as well. Alexander held my hand tight as we moved further into the crowd till I saw the familiar face of the old man. “You made it” He said, embracing Alexander and extending his hand at me. They shared pleasantries and conversation and walked away leaving me stranded in the midst of the strangers. I scanned the room, looking for a place to sit down when my eyes landed on a familiar figure that created panic in my heart. Standing at the corner of the room and dressed in an all white Tuxedo was none other than Jack, my ex boyfriend.
