Ten years of darkness

1399 Words
Ten years have passed. Ten years since my life crashed before my eyes. Ten years since I lost my family and pack. Years lived in hatred and loneliness. Why am I even alive? Revenge. Revenge is the only thing that keeps me going. It has been ten long and restless years in which I trained to become the killer I am today—the best there is. I got my wolf years ago. She’s a large, pure black wolf named 'Kill'. Oh, the irony... She’s made for me, just as I am for her. Even her color resembles me... dark, black, and empty, just like my heart. The name is the same as what my soul wants, to kill. To eliminate every single person who did my family wrong. Every single creature that took part in decimating my family and my pack. I became the most feared assassin in the world. My name brings terror to everyone who hears it. I became death itself. If you have the privilege to see my mark, be sure that you’re next on my hit list. I mark all the territories before attacking them. Watching their reactions when they notice the sign... I love it. The feeling of horror they get... the pathetic attempts to escape my death sentence... and the marvelous look of pure terror when they realize they can never run from me. That’s what I live for. When I mark a territory, I get a feeling of pure bliss from the fear and agony I provoke in those that know I'm coming for them. If one of them tries to leave, they get burned and thrown back at the border. They can never leave. Because what no one knows is that I am also part-witch, and after marking a territory, I also put a barrier around it. If someone tries to get through it, they will get burned and thrown right back where they can await their punishment. I have lost count of all the people I've killed... humans, vampires, werewolves, witches... it didn't matter. If they deserved death, that's what they got. I went beyond the ones responsible. They're still my priority, but if I met a monster, then I'll let them go to hell in monstrous ways. For the past ten years, I've only killed the help. The ones that were there that day because of their orders. Now, I've come down to the last few names. To the ones that were the direct cause... to the ones that caused the most pain. Their faces remain burned into my mind, like some horror images, forever replaying in my mind. I left them last on purpose. I wanted them to know what I'm capable of. I wanted fear to overtake them, knowing I'll come for them, knowing they can't hide from me, but not knowing when I'll come. To live in fear and paranoia, as I'm slowly advancing towards them. Most of them ran across the world, thinking I wouldn’t follow or that they could hide, but boy, were they wrong. I found them and tortured them. Hearing them begging for their lives is my favorite song. After I would get bored of torturing them, I would cut off their eyelids, making them unable to blink or sleep. It only took one day for their eyes to dehydrate, two for them to start decomposing, and finally, after three days, they all got what they deserved. A slow and agonizing death. Some of them joined strong packs thinking they'll be protected. Like Jax, the one who ordered my sister's r**e. He hides in the Blood Moon pack. I’ve heard this is the strongest pack, globally, and I don’t understand how that disgrace got to be a part of this pack, but I genuinely don’t care either. As usual, I put a shield around the territory to make sure no one can get out. I don't like scaring the innocents, but I don't want to risk the quilty escaping either. While entering the 'Blood Moon territory, four werewolves stop me. They growl at me while I just stand there, not even slightly impressed by their pathetic attempts to scare me away. ‘How dare these little pups growl at me!?’ Kill hisses in my head... she has quite a temper. She’s angry and wants to teach them a lesson, and usually, I'll let her. But not today. The thought of who I'm about to see again makes me too angry. And I don't want to lose my control and accidentally kill these stupid, but innocent wolves. That’s why I simply wait for them to finally understand that I’m not afraid of them but also that I mean no harm to them. The men seem to get it since they finally stop growling. One of them shifts and stands in front of me, completely n***d, staring. Another wolf moves behind a tree and comes back with a pair of shorts that he hands over to the n***d man. Based on his scent, he's either the beta or the beta's son. “Who are you? How dare you, a rogue, enter our territory?” the beta growls at me, which I choose to ignore, and that makes him angrier. “Answer me!” This time he tries using his beta command on me, but I’m way too strong for it to work. ‘He dares command us? Let me rip his head off! Let me show him what a command feels like!’ Kill growls in anger. Did I mention she has a temper? ‘Easy girl, we don’t kill innocents, remember?’ I ask her, and she doesn’t like my answer but moves to the back of my head, paying attention to what happens, ready anytime to get out and do what she's best at. Kill. “Your command doesn’t affect me,” I say. The wolves exchange a glance. The beta’s still angry, but now he’s also curious. He takes a step forward. “How come?” he asks. ‘Is he truly that stupid that he can’t sense our power?’ Kill asks. ‘I masked it before entering,’ I answer her. ‘Why?’ she growls, clearly irritated by that and the disrespect these pups are giving her. ‘If they would’ve sensed it, they would’ve seen us as a threat and attacked us.’ ‘And? We can kill them with our eyes closed and using just one hand in less than a minute,’ she growls. ‘Do I really need to tell you again?’ ‘Yeah, yeah...we don’t kill innocents,’ she answers, irritated. I guess I talked to Kill a while since I see the beta getting angrier by the second. “I’m not here to cause trouble. I just need to talk to your alpha,” I tell him. “And why would a rogue need to speak with the alpha?” he asks suspiciously. “As I said. I will only speak to the alpha,” I answer and give him a bored look since I’m getting genuinely irritated by this pup’s disrespect toward both me and Kill. I can barely hold her in anymore, she wants his head, and I’m starting to feel the same. “Careful with your words, rogue, before I kill you,” the beta growls at me. ‘That’s it!’ Kill roars. She growls at them, not even using half of her power, but it’s enough to get the beta on his knees and put the other wolves under submission. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, getting my anger under control and calming Kill. When I open my eyes the beat looks up at me in both fear and disbelief. “How did you do that?” the beta asks cautiously. “I advise you to take me to your alpha already. I’m getting impatient, and my wolf is furious at how you spoke to us. I don’t know how much longer I can keep her under control, and believe me when I say, you don’t want her to come out.” He doesn't say anything else,p but I notice him staring blankly at me, so I could only guess he is mind-linking someone. ‘He better be mind linking his alpha. One more disrespectful word from him, and I’ll make sure he regrets even the day he was born!’ Kill growls
