Return
This is the 1000th time Steven has asked Anna for a divorce, and her answer remains the same, of course.
"No signature, I won't sign even if I die."
"Stubborn."
Steven tossed out a cold retort and walked out of the room with a gloomy expression, leaving Anna curled up in the dimly lit room.
Three years after their marriage, not a single one of his fingers bothered to touch her, and she wasn't sure anymore why she was clinging to this marriage.
She was like an over-tightened bowstring now, just a gentle tug away from snapping at any moment.
Today, Marry, the person Steven loved deeply, had returned. She heard the household staff say that Steven had abandoned all his work early in the morning to go to the airport and welcome Mary back.
Ha ha, the main palace is back, so the substitute should leave too.
Anna stood up and opened the curtains, looking at the vast night sky with a slight smirk.
"Hmm, the moon is so beautiful tonight, it's perfect for a divorce."
But before that, she had to make Steven understand that she was not a soft peach that he could squeeze however he wanted.
At midnight, Anna waited for Steven to return. There was the sound of a door opening, and after the sound of the bedroom door lock rang out, the indifferent man walked in, knowing that she was sitting there, but he didn't even spare her a glance.
"Steven, happy birthday!"
At the same time, the voice rang out, a huge cake with a strong alcohol smell was thrown directly at Steven's face, followed by the cheerful laughter of Anna.
"An...na" This was the first time she had heard Steven's voice with a hint of fluctuation, his voice from between his teeth was as cold as a devil in the underworld.
Just as Anna was about to present the signed divorce agreement to quell the man's anger, a pair of hands suddenly encircled her waist, followed by a kiss that bore the strong scent of alcohol.
Anna hadn't expected this man to become inebriated from just a bit of wine. But because she had decided to distance herself from him, she couldn't be swayed by his charm any longer!
Held firmly by the man, she couldn't push him away. When Steven's tongue slipped in, she bit down on it. Steven winced in pain and involuntarily released her, and looking into his eyes, she felt it was time to sober him up. She cautiously placed her hand on his chest, caressing it twice
"Don't be angry, don't be angry, don't be angry... I wasn't careful. Alright, good night!"
After saying this, Anna intended to open the door and sneak out, berating herself as a coward!
But at this moment, suddenly, Steven lifted her from behind, his seductive voice and the hot breath of the man with the chiseled face left her enchanted.
The man couldn't discern whether he was sober or not as he entered the bathtub with the petite woman. The scene of passionate intensity continued from the bathroom to the wildly frenzied bed and seemed never-ending.
However, before Steven regained consciousness, Anna had already left. Before departing, she turned her head to look at the finely sculpted face of the man. She gently closed the door and muttered to herself
"Damn it, I meant to leave gracefully, never thought I'd let him take advantage of me!"
The following morning:
When Steven woke up, he found the divorce papers on the table, which he had initially ignored. But upon seeing the three letters "Anna" under the woman's signature, he abruptly sat up in astonishment:
This woman, after playing him, still wanted to walk away?
"Dig three meters and bring her back to me."
A certain CEO, who had insisted on divorce 1000 times in three years, tore up the divorce agreement immediately...
For the first time, the housekeeper witnessed his director lose control in such a way, and, frightened, reported to him:
"Sir, Mary is waiting outside."
"No reception" Steven coolly refused.
5 years later...
Anna held a chubby little boy in her left hand, while little Alice, dressed in a Lolita outfit, was in her right. She walked through the airport in 8cm high heels, attracting numerous glances from onlookers.
"Mom, are we coming back this time to find Dad?" Alice raised her head, her voice as clear as milk, warming Anna's heart.
However, "You don't have a dad."
Alice was accustomed to these offhand responses from her mother and didn't comment further.
Alice looked at her big brother with disdain.
"Hey, you've cried eight times today."
Even though she didn't particularly like her wet-noodle of a big brother, she lifted his face with one hand and wiped away his tears with the other.
"I'm not crying." Jack stubbornly insisted that he wasn't crying, his pitiable appearance making him even more adorable.
There was no way to describe these two lovely children. Anna intended to sit down and comfort them, but the two siblings looked at each other and revealed their plan for this journey.
"Mom doesn't want to find Dad; we'll go look for him ourselves." The determination was evident on the children's faces.
Anna, feeling helpless, massaged her temples. She no longer had any regrets about Steven, or at least she thought so. He had probably married Mary by now and had a child with her. She quickly suppressed her emotions and when she looked up, the two children had disappeared.
But the man who suddenly struck her in the face left her stunned. He was dressed in a meticulously tailored gray suit, a red tie impeccably knotted, and carried himself with an air of dignity that discouraged others from approaching.
His thick, black hair shone with sophistication, and the sunlight highlighted his sharp features. What attracted her the most in his face were his dark eyes, possessing an icy and piercing look.
"Steven even looks more handsome now." Anna murmured from the bottom of her heart, mocking herself for her former infatuation with her ex-husband.
She contemplated making a quick getaway, but when she noticed the pendant necklace depicting Alice on the man's ankle, she froze!
With Steven's nature, if he discovered that his two grandchildren were abandoned, even if she disagreed, he would undoubtedly do everything to bring them back. She would never allow anyone to take Jack and Alice away from her!
Yet, as she appeared at this moment, it was the confirmation of Alice's identity. Anna immediately called Jay, who impersonated the kids' father, to pick them up.
On the other side, Steven faced the little girl who was stubbornly clinging to his leg, still unsure of what to do.
"Uncle, are you my dad?"
"No." Steven never liked kids, and he wasn't sure why he wasn't getting irritated with this little girl. Aside from his son Mark, he'd never spoken to any child before.
"Uncle, do you have kids?" Alice persisted, not believing him.
"Yeah." Steven instinctively looked toward the bathroom where his son had gone off the plane earlier, accompanied by the butler and security.
Alice lowered her head, feeling a bit lonely, but in an instant, she raised her head, beaming with a brilliant smile.
"Uncle, would you mind raising two more children... or, make that two more, please!?"
Steven: "......"
