Kavira POV Forcing my eyes open felt like trying to lift a mountain. Come on, Kavira. Wake up. I had to get up. I blinked several times, trying to orient myself. The cot beneath me was metal old, filthy, and stained. No sheets, just a thin, bare mattress littered with mouse droppings. The only source of light was a pale sliver of moonlight filtering through a small window. I attempted to sit up and instantly regretted it.
