“Alpha! Rogues breaching the east border!” The voice of a warrior pierced through the mind-link, ragged with urgency, already strained from combat.
“f**k!” I snarled, spinning toward Kavira. “Rogues. East border. Get to the office lock it down now!” My words came out sharp, laced with the kind of authority that left no room for debate. I kissed her once, hard and desperate, before bolting through the door.
“Varek!” I barked through the link. “East border. Take Maelira get Kavira to the safe room in my office.”
“Damn it!” Varek’s answer came clipped and heated. He knew as well as I did the women could fight, but Kavira being pregnant changed everything. That wasn’t a risk I would gamble with.
