Kavira’s POV
“Naw, firstborns are always male!” Eldon suddenly chimed in from the couch, where he had been quietly observing the back-and-forth. All eyes turned to him as he shrugged, expression completely serious.
“What?” he defended. “Statistically, there’s an eighty-seven percent chance the firstborn will be male if both parents are of alpha descent.”
I rolled my eyes, but smiled all the same. “Either way, I’m going to love this baby,” I said firmly, drawing the conversation to a close.
“Alright, enough,” Vorian’s deep voice carried an authority that left no room for protest. “It’s time for bed. Tomorrow’s going to be long, and everyone needs their rest.”
Goodbyes spilled into the air as everyone shuffled out.
