Cheating

Layla woke up in Kin’s bed and thought that it was him beside her, she hugged him but then she opened her eyes and saw that it was Nicholas beside her, and on the other side was Lucas, what exactly got her in bed with those two? Lucas never liked being in bed with anyone other than Kin, because he liked to move around and didn’t want to bother the person beside him, but it was different with Kin; and for Lucas, why was he in her house? What happened yesterday? She tried to remember and it all came back to her, with a blush on her face. Yesterday, she was bored at home all alone, Kin was there but he was talking in the phone for what seemed like forever, and she hated the lack of attention she was getting; she called Nicholas to see if he wanted to go out with her somewhere, he said yes, since his shift got canceled because his boss’s mother was sick and he needed to take care of her, so he wasn’t going to work for a couple of days, just for that job though. And with that, Layla got ready and left a note, telling Kin that she was going out with Nicholas, on a date. After she left, she met up with Nicholas in an arcade, where they played games, in which she won every game except one; she was an expert in gaming, video games and arcades that is; as a child she would always play games because her parents would never pay attention to her and Lucas would be busy with studying to become the owner of the company, that was until Kin came along and they started playing together in different arcades, all the time, it was their little fun time as kids but when they grew older and she got in high school, Kin started being busy and didn’t play with her anymore, but she continued to do so, because games were her sanctuary, she couldn’t do whatever she wanted while playing, curse, laugh out loud, snort, eat ‘unladylike’ and anything her parents stopped her from doing, because she is ‘their daughter’ and need to behave like she was. Unlike Nicholas, who ever since he was a child, focused on studying and becoming the best, so not to burden his parents in taking care of him for too long, he planned to leave the house as soon as he could so that his parents could worry less and to live their life. They were opposites and enjoyed their time together, and Layla even taught him a little bit and he won once, when she was going easy on him. “Do you want to go drink?” It was almost 10 pm, and they were out of the arcade, walking down the street; when Layla got the idea to get drunk with Nicholas. “We are underage.” Nicholas reminded her, but she didn’t forget, she just didn’t care. “Pfft, who cares, I will get us in, just say yes.” Layla was showing her rich girl attitude, which Nicholas didn’t like that much, because of how untitled it made her seem, it reminded him of his cousins; he didn’t pay much attention to it before but now he was starting to do that. “You are a bad influence.” Nicholas exclaimed in all seriousness, which got Layla slightly upset. “I am a bad influence because I want us to have fun? If that so, I will go alone.” Layla started to walk away, angry at Nicholas for saying she was a bad influence, because she was not, she just wanted them to get their head off stuff, and everyone says that was the best way to do it. “No, no, don’t go alone. But promise me that this will be a one time thing, we shouldn’t drink at our age.” Nicholas wasn’t going to let Layla, an underage, frail, beautiful, rich girl go drinking alone, that would be asking for a disaster to happen. “Okay, I promise, this won’t happen again until we are both of age and celebrating our twenty first birthday.” Layla promised, a promise she would find easy to follow because she kept her promises. “Good, do you know a place to go?” Nicholas was hoping for Layla to say no, because if she knew a place then she must have been there, at least once, which would make it that she had been drinking before, which wasn’t a good think, they needed to create boundaries for themselves and if she can’t follow that, then there was a problem somewhere. Was he over analyzing things? Probably. Did he care enough to admit to himself? No, he just convinced himself that he was just worried about her as a friend. “No, but I will ask Lucas.” Layla got her phone out and dialed Lucas’s number, he should be out of work at this point, it was 10 pm, that would be the time he would usually get out of work from, when he would be either busy or angry, and he was both when she came back. “Will he let us drink?” Nicholas doubted that Layla’s strict older brother would let them get drink together, that wouldn’t follow the overprotective brother stereotype. “It won’t take much for him to do so.” Layla smirked, she had her plans on how to make Lucas angry, it would take a few expensive items but she had her ways of getting more of those. “What will it take?” Nicholas curiously asked with furrowed eyebrows. “A couple of sweet words and a few pictures.” Layla said right before Lucas picked up. She walked away to talk to him and Nicholas played with a can of coke while waiting, she didn’t take long, just ten minutes, of which she came back with a huge smile and dragged him back to where they were. “Where are you taking me?” Nicholas asked, when he noticed that Layla wasn’t stopping and excitedly dragging him to wherever she was taking him to. “Heaven on earth.” Layla told him the club’s name, that Lucas suggested, after she begged him for awhile and offered him exclusive Kin pictures, that she had hid away, among many, of their childhood, teenage years and even the first days as them being siblings; which were very valuable, that he let her drink after she promised that she would wait for him to come before she does so. “I don’t remember that being here, I think it’s in the sky.” Nicholas knew what she meant but he didn’t want to try and c***k a joke, it didn’t work. “It’s the club’s name, stop with your lame jokes.” Layla rolled her eyes and let go of his arm. “But I thought that’s how you get girls, I am practicing.” One of the advices he was given, was to make the girl laugh and feel comfortable around him, so he was trying just that. “Practice on someone else.” Layla was walking father away than him and he was trying to catch up and when he did, he held her hand and spun her around to face him, and they got closer than he thought. He was intoxicated by her eyes and expression, and the next words just came out on their own : “I don’t have anyone else, I only have you and I only want to practice with you.” “Okay but personal space my dude, we are not in a movie.” Layla pushed her away before he could see her blush and farted walking faster. “Sorry.” Nicholas apologized with an awkward smile and walked behind her. “It’s okay, just don’t do it again.” And that’s where Layla’s memory got cut off, because she turned her head away from Nicholas, to blush comfortably, and unfortunately, saw the clock, it was 8 am, she had classes to attend and Nicholas did too. “Nicho, nicho!!! Wake up!!” She shook him roughly and when he finally opened his eyes to look at her, she showed him the time on her phone, which made him widen his eyes and immediately get up. And in the short span of fifteen minutes, they went to the bathroom, separately for some parts, Layla got Nicholas clothes from Kin’s closet, both got dressed, Layla packed her backpack while Nicholas had to go to his house to get his stuff, lucky for him, Lucas was there and could drive them. So while Layla was fixing her makeup in the bathroom, with the door locked, Nicholas shook Lucas to wake him up, quite aggressively because of how anxious he was about being late, and because Lucas was the one who drank the most the day before, as soon as s he opened his eyes, he had to puke; he got up to the bathroom but before he could reach it, Nicholas told him Layla was there, which made him ran to the closet room, to puke, the room Kin and Leonard were cuddling in. On said other room in the house, Kin woke up to the sound of someone puking in his bathroom, it was either Lucas or Nicholas because he saw the person’s silhouette and it wasn’t even close to Layla’s, either way, he decided to go check. He took Leonard’s hand off of his waist and his head off of his neck, carefully and slowly, not to wake him up, not giving a damn about the position they were in, it was too early to get flustered or think about it, so he just went to bathroom, to find Lucas puking his heart out into the toilet. “Hangover?” Kin asked, as he approached Lucas and started patting him on the back, to maybe help a little. A few seconds later, Lucas stopped puking and hugged Kin from the side, and complained to him about his headache. Kin sighed and played with his hair, to calm him a bit, which was working, until Leonard walked in. “Why did you get up from the bed?” Leonard asked yawning, and scratching his messy hair, with -his shorts and no shirt on- outfit, which made Lucas shocked and angry. “WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?” Lucas screamed, which made his headache worst than it already was and caused Layla and Nicholas to enter and see the scene. Kin on the bathroom’s floor with Lucas and Leonard with no shirt off, standing in front of them. “Who cheated on who?” Was the first thing Nicholas asked, which got him a punch in the guts from Layla. Everyone was quiet for a minute, before Kin decide to take matters into in his own hands and say: “Nobody cheated on anybody. And shouldn’t you two be at school?” Kin said, which made Layla and Nicholas that they were indeed late, and not in a movie set, where everything stopped until a scene was done, they had to go or else their teacher was going to scold for several minutes and maybe not even let them in; saying something like: ‘If I let you in, the others will wonder why I let you specifically and not them when they are late, I can’t have you disturb my class because you don’t know how to manage your time.’ And then he would purposely put the things he taught in the exam so that they wouldn’t get a good grade, it happened before and it will probably happen again. “Stop panicking and breath.” Kin told them when he noticed that they were both about to faint from nervousness, they must have a really strict teacher. “I…no, Leonard drive them to school.” He thought about going himself but then he realized that would mean Leonard and Lucas would be home alone, together, with breakable furniture, he can’t let them be together, in the state Lucas was in, fumes were brewing through his nose and mouth. “Why me? I have work.” Leonard complained, work didn’t matter much to him, at this point, what mattered was the drama and the entertainment he would get from staying. And if you are curious, here is a triangle showing what’s important to Leonard. Drama/Entertainment Work Clubs and partying Girls Pretty diverse, huh? Anygays, the story. “Because I said so and it wouldn’t kill you to be half an hour late, I will make up to you just go.” Kin begged him with his eyes, he didn’t know how long Lucas would be able to stay calm and not punch Leonard, so he needed to go before anything happened. “Fine but the price will be heavy.” Leonard said with a smirk and walked away from the bathroom’s door to get his shirt. “Wow, love triangles, never seen those before.” Nicholas said before he walked out of the room, to get to the car. Layla followed him soon after, without saying anything but wishing luck to Kin in her heart. “Explain yourself.”
