Her arrival

1014 Words
The wind is blowing, pushing away all the summer heat in the bustling city. It's almost midnight, and in the city that never sleeps, stood a crowd outside the the airport. Some were sprawled on the ground, and some who are too stubborn to sit on the ground let themselves lean on the wall, or encouraging their selves to stay on their feet. 'It is just another few minutes,' they assured themselves in wait. "Are you sure our source is reliable? We've waited for three hours by now!" a girl muttered to her friend, thinking on how her mother is probably waiting for her at their living room with a broomstick at hand. She shivered at the thought, so scary! "What are the chances that they took the other exit? the crew would have been informed that we have been gathering here," a guy said, happening to be near the girls as his tired girlfriend is laying her head on his shoulder. "Impossible! She wouldn't have discarded us like that! That's out of character for her," his girlfriend brushed him off angrily, no longer resting her head on him with puffed cheek. She knows her idol best. She was not that kind of person. Her boyfriend sighed. "I know, but what are the odds that her manager would have made her do it, or maybe she's exhausted so they couldn't bother stopping?" he tried to reason, but none avail, his girlfriend ignored him. The girls turned their heads off the couple and sighed, unsure of what they're supposed to do now. And as if on cue, suddenly a voice yelled out and everyone looked to the same direction. "Look!" A figure appeared from the gate, a bag hung on her shoulder while wearing a hoodie, and her fitting jeans showing off her slender legs. She looked casual, with her hoodie cap covering her head and a hand holding her bag, had they not know her better, they wouldn't have recognized her. Everyone jumped on their feet and rushes forwards to meet her. Her assistant whom is helping with her luggage immediately ran towards her upon recognizing the huge crowd. Why are they not informed about this? And they doesn't even have bodyguards around! The assistant cursed inside his heart as the manager had assured her that nobody would know of their arrival, especially due to her rejections of the bodyguards. "Elsie!" "Oh my gosh, it's my godess!" One scream is followed by another, and Elsie looked at the approaching crowd. A smile immediately appeared on her face and she pushed back her hood, revealing her long blonde hair gleaming and moist even after a long flight. "Hi everyone, please gather round," she asked, and they obediently followed. Through each of them are trying to push to get closer to her, they all behaved in order to respect her spaces, and not to crowd her to avoid discomfort. After all, they wouldn't want their idol to dislike them. "Thank you everyone, for being here and welcoming me home," she spoke warmly, as they sent their expectant eyes her way. "I don't know how you guys know of this and able to be here without bringing the media, but I'm extremely grateful that I wouldn't have to face a camera soon. Should we do a groupie?" Everyone cheered, and soon makes a line around her. She led the smaller and shorter ones to be at front, while the tall people stood besides her, or behind. Her assistant sighed and without having to be told, he opened the camera feature and start calling the cues. "There's about thirty of you, can we make groups of six to eight people tops? I'm sorry, I can't take pictures with each and every one of you. I'm jetlagged," she explained, and everyone gladly agreed. The little girl who previously sulks at her boyfriend is now screaming and leading everyone into forming groups. A few passerby who recognized her also joined these group, and they all excitedly awaits for their group's turn. Each of them could talk to her as if they're friends instead of idol and fans. "The last we heard from you, you were in Paris. Are you just finishing a project there?" "Well, It is somewhere not far from Paris, but for details.." They all grinned and speaks of their understanding. "Eonnie, this is korean famous banana milk. I've just landed and about to bring it to my cousin, but you deserve it more. I hope you'll like it, and milk helps you sleep after a long flight. Please come visit us in the future," a girl around nine years old said honestly, handing her a tray of six yellow plastic bottles. Touched, she offered the little girl a hug and asks for her name. "I'm Aera, eonnie." "Well annyeong Aera. Your parents are waiting for you and I'm sure you're tired too. Take care," she waved the little girl. Done with everything, everyone waved her goodbye as she entered the car that's waiting for her. Deep inside, they are glad they made it just between them. Had it been more crowded, they doubt she'd be this patient with them. They could obviously see her how exhausted she is from her face and they are pleased having such idol. As she slid into the van, the smile on her face disappeared. Her expression turned flat, and even after all this time, he, as her assistant, is still not used of how emotionless she appeared to be behind the camera. A side of her that only him, and her manager knows. And they're both loyal to her to no end. "Ander." He looked at her from the rearview mirror, and found her looking out the window. "After you dropped me off at the hotel, can you help me out with something?" Ander nodded immediately. As her assistant, he's entitled to help her with trivial things. But as her friend, he'd even help her hide a body if he needed to. "No problem. What is it?" 080121 Edit 140822
