Frank Brockless came out of his house with two suitcases and loaded them into the boot of a Humber Super Snipe that stood on the drive. His parents, a trim, well preserved couple in their late-sixties, waited by the house under umbrellas. They seemed slightly apprehensive. Frank turned to them apologetically. "Sorry about this. But you know what Edna"s folks are like. They"ll blame George"s problems on me. I have to kowtow enough as it is." His father gripped Frank"s shoulder. "Not a problem. Glad to help out, son."
