Laurens POV

I gathered my belongings for my usual monthly shopping trip. I was nervous as I buttoned up my blouse and sweater over it. Looks like it going to be chilly so I take an umbrella incase of rain. Loaded up into my jeep and headed into town. I met my usual connect for groceries and supplies behind the Walmart store a member of my brothers pack. it was around 10am I knew Johnson was waking up by now. He spends most nights searching for his mother he believes she is alive and for the killers of his father. He then trains for hours so when he does run into them.

Kiera's POV

"Kiera!" yelled Dori. Mmmm I can smell the breakfast usually I'm up early out for my morning jog. I slept in tho it's been tough I left the pack to go to a human school and everything felt fine. Dated a human whom I loved and lost both all in the same week. So I'm back home and my father wants me to take over the pack soon. Even if I don't have a mate he wants me to begin training at least.

Aurora: Kiera be open about today and take advantage of new opportunities.

Kiera: Okay but can you elaborate or do you live being cryptic.

Aurora: I just feel a change in the air.

I roll out of bed and shower get myself ready for breakfast. I think I might just join the training soon. It's been a while since I whooped some over achieving warriors who underestimated my speed and strength.

"Kiera you are an amazing person.We had a deal to let you live among humans. You did lose your job and came back home with no intentions of being alpha of the pack. The fact that you don't want to take over the pack has me scrambling what to do next. I've decided to give you one year. During that year you will be with your aunt Ren. You have no choice and as your Alpha I'm demanding it of you!" Fred said with his arms folded trying to look stern hiding his sadness.

I was shocked and I didn't respond I quietly turned around and went upstairs I only packed clothes nothing else of significance to remind me of the pack that's how angry I was.

30 minutes later after crying then finally convincing myself I walk down the stairs.

"Hello Kiera I'm your Aunt Ren and I thank you for coming with me." she said handing me a plate. "Please eat and you can drive my jeep to where we will be staying."
