The assistant showed me a few suits for the ceremony, but I could barely focus. The shock of seeing Ronald again still had a significant impact on me. My heart was pounding, and I felt my face flush. I was genuinely worried about fainting in the room due to my rising blood pressure. I wanted to confront Ronald and express my thoughts, but the fear of failure held me back.
What troubled me even more was trying to understand what Ronald was doing here. He hadn’t visited us since he left, and his absence had been a source of calm for me. Now, I feared he would show up, especially for the ceremony, to create chaos.
