“Dan should have been safe.” Chuck glared at the umpire and continued to mutter insults at the poor man, who was actually returning his glare.
“All the people in this stadium, and you’re the one he heard.” Clancy chuckled and wrapped an arm around his boyfriend. “You’re gonna get us chucked out of here for sure.” Although now he knew where Chuck got his aversion to umpires. Even though Archimedes Newton was a few rows behind them, Clance had heard him shouting at the umpire a time or two.
“Yeah, well,” Chuck groused. “I’ve heard better calls between two tin cans and a piece of string!”
