CHAPTER 25Hours later, Maggie and Riley finally arrived at the lake house. It was strange to have her in his truck, knowing that reporters would probably pay large amounts of money for the opportunity to be in his shoes. Apparently, the world wanted to know why she had closed herself off for the past year, only to resurface now. He found it rather humorous.
Since it seemed they were going to be attached to one another for better or worse, he needed to figure out how to keep the two of them alive. But without Jonathan, he had no clue how to fend off supernatural threats. For now, he was simply too exhausted to think straight and needed several hours of sleep to recover.
