Charades! [Grease 2]

I was done with my shift at the local gas station. Paulette came by telling me that my boyfriend Michael Carrington had some urgent news to tell me. And that he had tried to call me here. He was upset over something but would not tell anyone until he told me what was going on. I have to admit. I am worried about what he might have to say. I take my work gloves off. Tossing them into my locker here at work. I grab my purse then head off to work. My ex Johnny Nogerellie pulls up with his motorcycle. "Hey Steph! Can you get that clown? I am trying to fix Mr. Colders car here. Isn't that your boyfriend?" my boss barks orders at me. I groan. "That is my EX. I just clocked out" I mutter. "Come on Steph" he begs me. "Fine" I huff out angrily feeling flustered. I grab my gloves back out of my locker. Summer was over. So was school. Forever. We all graduated from Rydell High. It was a chilly fall day out today. Johnny places his goggles up on his head. He throws his smoke down on the ground and makes sure that it is out. I wondered what he was up to. He grins at me in a cocky way when he spots me coming his way. "Look what the cat dragged in!" I remark snidely. I had not saw Johnny since we graduated. Sure, I saw his girlfriend Paulette. I knew what he had been up to from here. I had been busy with Michael these past few months. Happily, might I add. ♥ ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ ♥ "I have something to tell you. I wanted you to hear it from me" he mentions as he looks serious. I blink. "What? I kind of am in a hurry. So, unless you need some gas or something I really have to go" I reply. "Steph, I plan on asking Paulette to marry me. I bought a ring. I wanted to make sure you would really be alright with this" he worries. He was serious. Paulette was going to be thrilled. "Why would I not? This is great!" I exclaim. He grins. "I wanted to make sure. And that we were cool" he laughs. "We are. I think she is going to be thrilled" I add. "So, you are in a hurry?" he asks me. "Need a ride?" he wonders. "Sure. Michael had something he needs to talk to me about. I am to meet him at the diner here in town. You know the one" I sigh. He nods as I hop on his bike with him. "I do. Paulette mentioned that he told her there was something going on. But would not tell any of us until he talked to you. I hope everything is okay. Michael is a great guy" Johnny tells me loudly over the roar of his bike. Soon we are across town at the diner. I hop off and rush right in. There was Michael sitting in a booth. With his hands in his hair. He looked pretty shaken up. "Michael!" I speak his name. He looks up and smiles at me sadly. I join his side in the booth. He has a burger for me already with fries. "Double ketchup" he promises me with a sad smile. I kiss him. "Tell me what is wrong?" I beg to know. He groans. "I don't know where to begin" he mutters. I place his hands in mine. "Whatever it is we can get through it together" I vow. He winces. "It is not that easy. It has to do with me" "This does not sound good" I mutter. He hands me a letter. I read it over. My hands shake after I read it. Then I read it again. He was to go back home. To England. He finished his studies, so they wanted him back home. Tears blur my vision. We just got together. We have not dated a full year. Mainly due to my stupid ways. Pushing him away from me for so long when we waisted that time. ♥ ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ ♥ "Michael is this true?" I whisper out loud. "Steph... it is" he tells me. "It is" "We can get married! They can't send you away if you marry me! Michael marry me" I beg him. "Stephanie Zeronie" he laughs. "I mean it. Marry me. Till death do us part" I demand. "Marry me" I beg him. "I can't let you go. I can't say good-bye" "You are too young to marry" he chuckles. "We are both young for that. You will regret me later" "No! No, I will not. We are not to young. You know what? Johnny told me he plans on asking Paulette to marry him! They are our age. We can marry to" I beg him. "I can't let them send you away. I can't" ♥ ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ ♥ I once thought Michael had died. And I lost him in a bike accident. I thought I was never going to see him ever again. Then when we found one another I could not let that happen again. We could be together. "There has to be another way. We will talk more later" he vows. He gets up to leave. "Where are you going?" I worry. He leans down kissing me. He touches my cheek with his hand. He smiles sadly at me. "I will make this work Steph. I will. Trust me okay? I have to go" he says. He takes off before I can stop him. I run after him. He is off on his bike speeding away. "MICHAEL!" I call out. But he ignores me as he speeds off. I cry as I kick gravel there in the parking lot. Tears blur my vision. "Steph?" I hear Johnny say. "What happened?" he was behind me. He was still here. ♥ ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ ♥ I begin to cry. He hugs me. Both of us failed to notice that Paulette's little sister rides by on her skate board. But right now, that was the least of my concern. All I could do was worry about Michael. "He might have to move back to England" I cry on Johnny. He pulls me back to look at me. "Can they do that?" he asks me. I nod. "He is not in college yet. They can" "What if you marry him? Then you can stay" he points out. I sniff back tears. "I know. I know. I told him that. He said if I marry him then I am wasting my life. And I will regret marrying him. I won't" "Steph I am sorry" mutters Johnny. "Me to" I sob. "Come on. Let me take you home" he offers. I nod. He helps me back on his bike. "Want a drive before home?" he offers.
