Chapter Seven: Drowning Promises

At exactly 5 a.m the next morning, Linus came barging in Abe's room to wake him up for his morning routine.

 "Rise and shine, sunshine."  he wakes him up just as he removed the blanket from his body.  His eyes slid from his face to his crotch.  "Oh, it's awake, alright."  he smirked before he covered him up once more.

 "Hm, five more minutes."  Abe protests before he's about to flip over, but Linus is not having it.  He snatched the pillow he's about to cover himself with and threw it away.  Next, he opened the curtains using the remote because everything in that house is modern and even the bowls are automatic.  Abe groaned before covering himself with his blanket.

 "Don't make me kick you out of your bed because you know I'll do."  he threatened him while looking at the cocoon in front of him.

 His eyes began to scan his room until his eyes zeroed on the guitar seated on one of the chairs in the room.  His eyes softened for a second, remembering him singing in a sad voice before he turned to the now sitting brat with his hair sticking up all over.  Linus couldn't help but gulp when he noticed how his shirt was falling over his shoulder, showing a little bit of his caramel skin that he probably got from his Mother.  Abe looked delectable, but Linus is not having a bite.  Nope.  He's got enough restrictions for that.  Plus, he's not one to f*** a straight guy.

 "My body is still sore from yesterday."

 Oh, get your head out of the gutter, Linus.  He reprimanded himself before he turned away from him.

 "Get up and change. We start that daily routine. Out in five minutes and go to the Gym or I'll double it."  he instructed him before striding to the door and closing it behind him.

 He cleared his head before walking to the Gym this time.  Cursing himself over and over again for being so hot-blooded and for lusting over him.  Blame himself for not having s*x for a while now.  Maybe he'll find someone to relieve this itch in this place.  Surely not everyone in this mansion is straight.  Maybe then he'll not see Abe that way again.  Abe is eighteen, but acts younger so he feels like a maniac.

 Shame on you, Linus.

 "For your routine, I decided on a week with a day interval because you're still a student and we don't want you missing School now, do we? Don't worry because I'll join you."  he stared at the clock on the right side of the wall.  "We have roughly three hours to do it so we better start now."

 For his morning routine, Linus gave Abe a 10-minute warmup.  For his Core, he gave him a Standing march.  Stability ball dumbbell presses his Chest.  For his Back and Shoulders, Linus chose Seated cable row and Seated stability ball military press.  Ball squat for his legs and Single-leg triceps pushdown good for his Triceps.  And for his Biceps, he chose Single-leg dumbbell curl.

 For now, he chose easy ones for him, and like he said, he gave him a day interval for his body not to be too sore the next day.  After he sees some improvement, he will change his routine.  And eventually, they will start with Muay Thai lessons.  Muay Thai might be too much for the Giant Baby for now so he will prepare his body for that.

 When they're done, Linus let him rest for half an hour.  Abe will groan and whine every now and then and Linus understood it.  Because his body never experienced workout, all his muscles must be screaming at him now.  And it will later on worsen that's why he gave him an energy drink.  But Linus is prepared for it.  He calculated what time his body will be too sore for him to move and it will be just after their class ended.  His body would be well-rested tomorrow and he'll be ready for another go.

 Some might think that he's being too harsh on him, but no.  Because if he does, then he won't even give him a day off.  He will let him attend class feeling like he just got hit by a truck everyday.  He will force him to do even harder routines that might strain his body, but he didn't, did he?

 And Linus wonders why.  When he never showed mercy to anyone he taught before when he was a trainer.

  "Curse me."  he ordered Abe while they're having lunch that day.

 "What?"  he exclaimed, confused and horrified at what he heard.

 "I want to hear you curse. That is part of the training, fool. You thought it's all physical? No. Part of fighting back is verbal and that includes cursing. Now do it."

 Abe stopped pushing the beans in his plate.  They are in the restaurant and not the cafeteria for all the rich and important students of the University.  Linus sure is not important, but each of them can have a bodyguard or assistant inside.  Rich people are sure weird.  Because apparently, most of the students here are heirs of millionaires and billionaires and their food must be tasted first to make sure it will not harm them.  The place is also heavily guarded by security and cameras.

 Linus waited for him to open his mouth in anticipation.  "D-Damn."

 Linus facepalms.  "Scary. That one will surely scare your bullies. F***. Why do they even allow bullies here? Typical elite School."  Linus started with a shake of his head.

 The Giant Baby pouted in front of him.  "I never cursed 'cause Mama told me it's bad."  he responded with a shrug of his shoulder.

 "Well, cursing is part of life, doofus. You curse when you're angry, excited, troubled and feeling pleasure. Now, let's try it again. Try saying f*** you."

 Abe visibly gulped.  "F*** you?"  he tried, but it only came out as a question.

 Oh, why not?  Linus answered in his head.  "Now do that when they try to bully you again. Together with what I've taught you, okay?"

 And now Linus watches from afar.  He made an excuse to go to the bathroom to watch him.  He's near enough to hear and see everything, but Abe won't be able to see him.  Minutes later like he suspected, the same bullies from before approached Abe.  And because one a few students were around, no one dared to even spare a glance.

 "Oi, big oaf. Where is that loyal dog of yours?"  a blond jock asked and Linus drummed his fingers.

 He studies Abe's reaction and unlike the first day he saw him getting bullied, Abe looked like he's trying to act like he's not scared, but Linus can see the way his fingers tremble slightly.  He flicked out his tongue and licked his lips before clicking his tongue.

 "Come on, you Giant Baby. Don't act. Show them you're not scared."  he muttered out of his breath.

 "Tell him the next time he lays a hand on us won't be pretty."

 "What are these? Man, you're such a f******* nerd."  Another who looks like he hasn't showered in days taunted Abe.

 And when they start to mess with his things, that's when Abe stood up and Linus' eyes widened a little in anticipation at what he'd do next.

 Abe glared at the three with his fist clenched.  "Fudge you!"

 All the excitement left his body and Linus ran his hand down his face before he heard the three howled and clapped.  His eyes turned back to them when he heard something to see the one in the middle holding Abe by his collar.

 "Do it, stupid. Do it!"  he said to himself and he saw how Abe gripped his hands before he pulled the blond closer and slammed their heads together in a headbutt.

 Linus clapped from where he's sitting just before Linus quickly gathered his things while they're distracted and ran for his life, making him chuckle in amusement.

 Back in the car, Linus remained silent throughout the whole ride and when they reached the house.  Before he hops out and before he can close the door, he bent down to look at him.  "Good job by the way."  With that, he did not wait for him to reply, he slammed the door shut and jogged his way up.

 Two weeks passed with Abe coping up and slowly getting used to his morning routines.  The first days went by him having to wake him up, but after a week, Abe was already awake and about as soon as he opened the door.  Linus made sure to instruct the Family's Nutritionist to only serve Abe nutritious foods and good for his diet.  There are times when Abe will drag his body due to his body shutting down on him, but Linus was there to kindly drag him.  And as days go by, Abe is slowly learning how to curse and fight his bullies too.  Sometimes, the three eggs will just walk by him with just a glare, but he has a feeling that they are planning something.  Jerks like them won't stop.

 Saturday night, Linus is currently waiting for Abe to show up while waiting in the indoor pool as big as the University's pool.  He learned that Abe doesn't know how to swim so now that's what he's going to teach Giant Baby.  Another is that swimming is also a good exercise.  Abe is a fast learner so he's sure that he'll be able to get a hold of it in just a week.

 He picked up his bottled water and drank.  His head turned to the side when he heard footsteps and almost choked when he saw Abe.  Now that he's training, Linus could visibly see small differences in his body and in a matter of months, he's certain that his body will show muscles soon.  While Linus is wearing board shorts, the brat is wearing a rather tight trunks sponsored yet again by a brand he wouldn't even bother buying even if he has the money to do so.

 "Are you a model of expensive brands or something?"  he mocked before forcing his eyes away from him.

 "No. I like these brands because they actually live up to the prices plus we actually own some of them. Don't worry, a ten thousand worth of swimming trunks won't make my Father poor."

 Linus just pursed his lips and Abe joined him and dipped his water.  "Way to rub your money on my face."

 "Literally the only thing I have."

 Linus said nothing to that.  He stood up and stretched before diving into the six-feet to ten-feet deep pool.  He swarmed halfway and about eight-feet before stopping and looking at him.  "Start there and be careful while descending."  he instructed him and Abe only stared at the water before taking a step back.

 Linus frowned and swarmed to the edge before looking up at him.  "I will assist you, okay? I won't let you drown."

 Abe mumbled something under his breath that he did not catch, but he turned away and his body trembled.  "I thought I could do it... I thought... I..." he trailed off.

 Linus clicked his tongue and pulled himself up before walking closer to him.  "What? I thought we're making progress? Even the water terrifies you now?"  he asked while pointing at the water.

 Abe shook his head and was about to walk away when Linus lifted him up with ease even if Abe is taller than him.  He threw him in the water just for the right depth for his height.  He watched him flail and gasp for air while shouting for help even if his head is still above the water.  Linus frowned at what he's doing.

 "You're not even drowning, you fool!"  he shouted in annoyance, irked at how cowardly he's acting.

 He really thought they're making progress.  He thought Abe was ready to cooperate with him.

 "P-Please save m-me, brother. I-I promise I'll be good! Pl-- Please!"

 "F******* hell."  Linus cursed when it finally dawned on him.

 From where he's standing, Linus dove right in to pull the terrified Abe out of the water.  He struggled a little, but managed to lay him down and Abe puked his guts out.

 "Why didn't you tell me? F***. Why?!"  he asked him out of anger.  "If I had known, I'll not force you, you stupid f***."  Linus is beyond angry at himself and at Abe's sorry excuse of a brother.  "Did he try to drown you before? Did he?!"  he asked, his hands shaking as he repeatedly ran his fingers through his hair.

 Abe shook his head while clutching his stomach.  "I can never win against them or him. I can-- can't."  Abe told him with a sob.

 In anger, Abe turned to the security cameras.  "Your f******* heir was drowning, you stupid f ****!"  he bellowed with his chest slowly rising and falling.  "Or is it your beloved Brother and Father's order too?"

 With Abe's silence, Linus was left speechless and dumbfounded and he found himself laughing out loud.  "What's the difference? You and I? What is our difference, after all?"  he asked himself in between laughs.  Laugh filled with no joy.

 And Linus found himself kneeling over him.  "Cry and shiver in fear today. Because one day, you'll be the one to make them cry and cower in fear. You are kneeling now, but they will kneel before you one day."

 They will kneel before us, Abe.  I promise you that.
