I spent my entire life doing everything right and trying to be seen as a dutiful daughter, obedient heir, and soon-to-be bride.

The Blood Moon Pack festival was supposed to be my last act of rebellion before the cage door closed for good.

Not, for once, did I ever imagine that he'd become an integral part of my life.

Xavier Jasper, my family’s biggest enemy.

He's one wolf in seven packs I was forbidden to breathe near, let alone have anything to do with him.

I was drunk to a stupor. Too weak to walk home alone, he leads me to his castle to find solace.

I couldn't resist his handsomeness. That wasn't me. Blame it on the alcohol. We made love to each other, and I regretted it.

A few weeks later, I discovered a baby growing inside of me.

I couldn't withstand the shame. I was forced to elope to Crest fall Town with Nadia, my friend.

A far away place where only humans reside.

Two years later, I've built a quiet life with my twins, Danny and David, who both bear the blood of both rival packs.

Will my father or my betrothed lover ever find me? How can I survive with my kids in a strange land? Find out in this intriguing story.

Episode 1: Political Tool
The rays of the morning flickered through the royal banquet hall of the Blood moon pack during the feast of celebration between Alpha Benjamin Campbell and Alpha Douglas Kenny of the full moon pack. He took over the full moon Pack after he fathers suffered a terrible illness. It's his fifth month since becoming the Alpha of the Pack, and he has done exceptionally better than his father's who ruled over full moon Pack for two decades. Neither Douglas nor Benjamin were celebrating any birthday, yet it was the happiest day of their lives. It's a day that means the world to both parties. A day when both packs will be aligned politically through an arranged marriage between Douglas and Serena, the only daughter and heir to Alpha Benjamin, the controlling leader of the Blood moon pack. Serena has never developed her wolf instinct. Douglas is aware of this fact, and he doesn't seem bothered. This has proven to be the best decision that Douglas has ever made since becoming the Alpha of the blood moon pack. He feels that the marriage will unite both packs and restore the togetherness against rival packs. “Where's Serena, your daughter?” Douglas asked enthusiastically. “I haven't seen her since I arrived here over an hour ago. Are you sure she's home?” He already notified his pack members about his plans of bringing Serena home. His pack yearns for a Luna and Douglas is committed to fulfilling their wish. Douglas father, Lucas also approves of the marriage between Douglas and Serena. He's beyond excited that Douglas is finally making a brave decision as a pack leader. He has no intentions of coming in between Douglas marriage to Serena. After their blood moon pack festival party last week, Benjamin specifically requested that Douglas return in two weeks to take Serena home. With the return of Douglas, Benjamin has no plans of breaking his promises. “She must be in her quarters, I guess,” Douglas responded with a bit of uncertainty. “She can't wait to become your bride, too,” Benjamin teased Douglas. He did that to buy more time. Not convinced, he summoned Anthony, the Pack's Beta. “Go fetch Serena immediately. Tell her Douglas demands her presence. He's here to take her home as his bride,” “As my Alpha pleases. I shall return with her,” Anthony bows as a sign of loyalty as he jets off to Serena's quarters. “I have waited for this day all my life. My pack will be so happy to finally have their Luna,” Douglas expressed his excitement. He just couldn't keep calm. He wasn't done talking when Anthony showed up alone wearing a huge frown. Emotions are high as tension sets in. The panic spreads over everyone's faces like a virus. They were patiently eager to hear what Anthony had to say. “Where's my bride to be, Tony?” Douglas breaks the deadlock. “And why did you return without her?” he launched another intrusive question at Anthony when he's yet to find his balance. His curiosity has taken a toll on him. He suddenly forgot what it feels like to be patient. The veins around his neck region have already popped outside like thunder. He spoke as though he wanted to tear Anthony's skin apart. “Answer the damn question, Tony!” he screamed again with the loudest voice. He hates to be kept waiting and that's precisely what Anthony is doing to him right now. “I got this, Douglas. Worry not,” Benjamin is forced to step in to calm the situation. He's aware of Douglas rage. He knows it's just a matter of time before Anthony gets punched in the face for creating an unnecessary suspense with his silence. “Where's my daughter?” Benjamin asked nicely. But behind the calmness dwells an angry lion that is ready to devour its prey. “I can't find her, my Alpha,” Anthony stuttered. He buried his face on the earth. His legs are shaking already. They could barely stand firmly on the ground. And his forehead? It has been drenched with his pool of sweat. “What the heck did you just say to him, Anthony?” Douglas fumed. He stood up to approach Anthony. He wants to assume that this is all a joke. “Douglas, please stop it already. I will handle this,” for the second time, Benjamin comes through for Anthony like a guardian angel. Douglas pants heavily as though he were involved in a hot chase with a wolf. He wasn't pleased that Benjamin had stood in his way twice already. “Now back to you,” Benjamin switches focus to Anthony. “I need you to look into my eyes and tell me where my daughter is right now,” Gradually, Anthony lifts his head in a slow motion as though he just underwent a neck surgery, “I think she has eloped the pack.” “Her quarters looks scattered, and her wardrobe is empty,” he added. After the confession, Anthony goes on his knees and grips Benjamin's legs as though he wants to pull them off, “Please, don't punish me. Grant me the order to summon the rest of the warriors to go find her.” Benjamin went mute. More like his vocal cords were destroyed. He shut his eyes and hopes that when they're opened again, it will all be a dream. But to his surprise, it's the reality rubbing his face in the mud. “Depart immediately before I change my mind about you,” he mumbles quietly. His voice was so low that Anthony didn't hear him. He remained on the ground waiting patiently for Benjamin to repeat what he just said. “Yes, my lord,” Anthony panicked and scampered after he saw the fire burning inside Benjamin's eyes. He already assumed the kind of punishment that awaits him should he keep asking irrelevant questions. “What's this about, Alpha Benjamin? You brought me here to be mocked in the presence of my subject, didn't you?” Douglas confronted Benjamin. He's been calm for most of the time. He is trying to assure himself that it's all a prank. But now, he has realized how frustrating the situation has become. “You heard from my Beta, didn't you? I am pretty sure Serena will be found. Just be patient,” he assured Douglas. “Patience, you say?” Douglas cuts in. He was this close to attacking Benjamin. He just had to control his rage when he remembers the repercussions of his actions. “I'll be back by tomorrow morning. If I don't get Serena, there would be war,” he threatened Benjamin before he exited the pack with his entourage. “I'm tired, Nadia,” Serena wailed after an hour of walking to Crest Fall Town where only humans reside. The night Serena discovers that she's pregnant, she is scared. To complicate her situation, she can't recall the face of the man that got her pregnant. She was so drunk to even capture his face. She wasn't willing to tell her father about it. The only person she trusted with her secret is Nadia, her best friend. She was so sure that Nadia would keep her secret safe. “Let's escape to Crest Fall town,” was Nadia's solution to the problem. She knows of a better place to hide where no one will ever find them. She knows about Serena's arranged marriage with Douglas. And with the pregnancy in the picture? The marriage was on the verge of collapsing before it happened. “Don't worry, just a couple of minutes, and we'll be there,” she motivated Serena. “That's what you told me an hour ago. I am sick and tired of walking, Nadia,” Serena cried her eyes out until she practically exhausted her tears. She's now regretting ever escaping with the pregnancy. She wished she had stayed back and pinned the pregnancy on Douglas once she moved in with him. Nadia scoffed. “This is crazy,” She is running out of ideas in in her head. As much as she wants them to rest, she is afraid that Benjamin's soldiers are already combing the entire pack searching for Serena. And with her involvement with Serena's escape, she is most likely to be executed by Serena's father. “Five minutes, and we would proceed with the journey,” She finally granted Serena's desires to rest a bit. She has no choice. She knew that was the only way out. While Serena leaned against a tree in the woods, Nadia kept on scanning the area to be sure no one was approaching from anywhere. Her legs are getting weaker and her eyes are getting heavier. Still, she was willing to put that aside to protect her friend. She already made a promise to be there for her friend, and she isn't willing to back out now when Serena needs her the most. “It's time now,” she taps Serena on the legs to wake her from her short slumber. Serena frowned. She has barely had a good sleep. But she has no choice. She was sure of getting enough rest when they arrived at the crest fall Town. Nadia assisted Serena in carrying her box while Serena walked next to her. What was meant to be an hour journey has metamorphosed to three hours Serena's patience is slowly fading away like the evening sun. Her throat is becoming empty like a desert. “I wish to return to my father,” Serena falls to the ground. The zeal to proceed with the journey has eluded her. She believes her father will forgive her shortcomings. As for the pregnancy, she doesn't plan to tell anyone about it.
