The Secrets of Forest Peak

When Sarah Duncan's grandmother dies, the last of her immediate family, she is surprised to learn that she has inherited a cottage house in her hometown. With her life falling apart around her, she thinks that this might just be the fresh start she had been hoping for.

High up on the mountain of Forest Peak, she learns that the old cottage is not what she had pictured in her hopeful mind. There are strange symbols painted on the wooden fence. The front door has been craved with runes and hanging all around are dead dried herbs. Inside she finds a letter, in her grandmother's hand writing, though it is more of a warning than a letter. It explains that no matter what happens, on the night of a full moon, she must stay inside the cottage. Sarah had always known her grandmother to be a superstitious old woman, but Sarah never took any of her grandmothers fears seriously.

As she begins to pickup the pieces of her life, she learns of the Van Garrett family. All of the rumors are completely ridiculous. By all means, Mr. Van Garrett and his nephew Killian are big and intimidating but that doesn't make them monsters. But as time goes by, Sarah soon learns the secrets of her family, the Van Garretts, and the hidden truth of Forest Peak.
