15 - SALES TRAININGAngus constructed a replica of Mrs Campbell’s office in his dad’s shed. Angus imagined himself to be an army commander assembling the training grounds for his troops before a dangerous mission. Just with less at stake than death, and more Tim Tams to snack on.
The visits Angus had made to the principal’s office allowed him to quite accurately replicate the layout, adding as much detail as he could using the bits and pieces lying around the well-stocked shed. Where the walls of the real office were made of gyprock, the walls of the set were made of bed sheets pegged to the roof beams. Where there was the office door, Angus put up a dividing screen. For Mrs Campbell’s desk, Angus used an old ironing board his Dad had stored away in the shed “just in case”.
