Chapter 3: Jo's feeling

They found me. s**t what am I going to do? One guy crouched down and told me his name is Travis but that has no meaning to me. I started to go back towards the other side of the log but some other guy was on that side also. I coward in the middle of the log not knowing what to do. I ran away from them. They are going to punish me real bad to the part of almost death. I mean I have not tried to run away in a long time but they told me if I did it again that I was not going to like what was they were going to do.  

I heard him say something about a doctor but I have no clue who or what that is. Is that what they said was going to happen to me if I tried to run away again. I mean I finally mastered the skill of masking my scent that way it would be harder to find me. I have never heard anyone being able to mask their scent especially when you have not turned into your wolf form yet. I mean I have been able to talk to my wolf but she says that it is not a good idea to shift since we have been abused and malnourished our whole lives. 

Then the unthinkable happened Travis started to actually climb into the log to get me.  Like how am I supposed to respond to that? I know that if I fight back that it will only make it worse. He is getting way too close to comfort.. I cringe when he reaches for me thinking this is the last time I am going to feel the grass on my feet and the air in my hair. Why did it have to end so soon? I cringe to the side and wait for the impact to come but nothing happens except these weird spark feelings all over my body and being held by Travis. The next thing I know is I hear Travis say the word mates and I pass out due to exhaustion finally setting in.
