Omar rose from his seat inside the ship, exhaustion carved across his features, then turned toward the two men who had accompanied him from the beginning. The footsteps of Sheikh Bakathir and the island men faded into the depths of the cave after their departure. Omar drew in a deep breath and said in a low but firm voice:
“Come on… let’s head out to the island.”
