Scene 1 – Omar and the Militias
Omar sat, staring at the factory. Missiles and bombs had been completed. He whispered to himself:
“I’ve found myself the commander of a factory owned by militias that fight the army and wreck the country…”
He agreed to help Sheikh Tarek al-Haddad after learning that the missiles would be sent to Palestine, a small nation struggling for its independence.
Cautiously, Mohammed asked:
“But if Asim finds out what you plan to do, he won’t let you do anything.”
Omar replied confidently:
“Asim had already agreed with Tarek to sell the missile base. In the end, all these militias are alike.”
Yasser looked at Omar thoughtfully:
“I suppose you have an ulterior motive in helping them.”
Omar smiled bitterly:
“Perhaps… Either way, helping or refusing them hasn’
