In the heart of Israel, the grand command hall was dimly lit, the overhead lights casting a muted glow over the massive square table that dominated the center of the room. The pale-colored walls reflected the light, leaving the corners in shadow, while surveillance devices and cameras hung from the ceiling, emitting occasional soft alerts, adding to the oppressive sense of tension.
