Scene 1 – Conquests and Wars in the Land of Canaan
After the Israelites settled in Canaan, the land did not rest before them. The territories were fertile, the rivers teeming with life, yet peace did not come easily. Strong and warring Canaanite tribes did not welcome a new people claiming a place among the hills and plains. This land would test the strength of the Israelites and their faith in the promise of their ancestors.
The First Raids
The first rebellious tribes appeared, gathering men, sharpening swords, and lying in wait for the Israelites. Moses led an army of young warriors, teaching them patience and discipline, warning them:
