Crystal kept nodding at the tunes of the music as she drives along the lonely road to her house. She checked the time on her wrist watch only to realise that its five minutes passed twelve. She had been so engrossed at the party that she did not realise it was that late. CRYSTAL'S POV S***t, I hope mommy haven't noticed my absence else she'd be worried sick about me now, especially when she realise I climbed off the window. Not like its my first time though. I packed my car in Christabel my best friends house. Her mom owns the best fashion house in America. We have been friends since middle school so am always welcomed in her home. I manoeuvred to sneak my way to my house without the notice of Robert our security man. As usual i successfully climbed in through the window and found my way to switch on the lights only to turn around and .... ...what the heck! mom how did you get into my room?. I asked surprised. At this I saw the glint of tears in her eyes and I couldn't help but roll my eyes because I knew after this comes a long sermon that could last all day. I know mom can be very dramatic at times but seeing tears in her eyes always breaks my heart. Mom am sorry for staying out late but please don't tell dad about this. Even though am the apple of my dads eye, if he gets to know about this then all hell will break loose and possible lead to another world war which am not ready for. Kriss, she started, " its like you are really bent on sending mommy to the grave isn't it. You surely want to kill me before my time ha. I've been here for five hour's now waiting for you and you are just showing up isn't it? look at the time" she continued almost yelling. "Its almost 1:00am. Crystal where have you been. Mom I..I..I..(I tried coming up with a perfect lie). Now don't you dare lie to me else I would definitely tell your dad. No mom you can't do that actually I was at Chris table's place together with Millicent and Mercy we were learning for the upcoming Smart Minds Quiz competition which I've been chosen to represent my school. I blurted out. You never told me about it. I wanted it to be a surprise mom. Then why did you sneak out like a thief Mom I didn't want you to stop me. Why did you not sleep over when it was late something bad could have happened you "she lamented". Like I said earlier mom I wanted it to be a surprise and also I didn't want you to be worried about me like you are now. Oh how sweet but did you really go out to your friends dressed like this she asked alarmed scrutinizing my dress.
