II - There Is No Turning Back

1295 Words
SAHARRA LEFT the restaurant where she met Clark. Even though it was not good manners to leave without saying goodbye, she had lost interest in that. She continued to walk away from that place while her eyes were blurry from the tears she couldn't wipe away. Saharra couldn't accept the fact that the man who knows how her parents disgusted her, how they humiliated her, how they make her life like hell, and knows that her parents gave her trauma is the man who brings those traumas back to her. Her mother is a liar. Her father molested her. They looked down on her. They gave her bleeding words. Yes, she considered herself a failure. She failed her college degree, she failed being a student. She failed being a daughter, her family resented her. She failed at being a lover, Clark disgusted her. She is a failure with everything. She almost ended her life. Saharra arrived at her condo unit shattered. Her body was shaking. She couldn't get her parents' faces out of her mind. The reason why she left her house is to find a home... to find her peace. She was moving on… she was healing silently… She had to cut her parents off to be able to live again. But Clark messed up her world again. Is that the payoff for everything she had done that caused him heart breaks? Why does Saharra feel it's a sin to choose her peace of mind? Why does she feel that it is wrong for her to walk away from Clark to find herself first? However, there is no choice but to swallow everything. She liked it. She wanted to return to the young man's life. She wanted to give everything she could to make him come back to her. She likes it so she shouldn't be complaining. Saharra decided to take a bath. She wanted to feel everything that had happened since yesterday. She wants, when she gets out of this bathroom she would be fine again and she would be able to smile again. So that's what she did. Just as she got out of the shower, Saharra saw her phone screen light up. Clark was the one who was calling so she remembered what happened earlier. However, she had to answer his call because that was what they had agreed upon. "Hello?" she said after answering the call. "Where the hell are you? Aren't you going home?" His voice was mad so Saharra frowned. Home? Here is her home… here in this four-corner condominium unit. What is Clark referring to? She was about to speak to ask what the young man was referring to when he suddenly preceded her. "Bring your things here. Important or not. You'll live with me. I'll give you 60 minutes, if you don't come, don't expect anything else." And then he ended the call. That guy didn't even bother to let her speak or bid goodbye. Saharra closed her eyes. She took a deep breath to calm herself. Clark was acting bad too much for her. And she has been telling herself over and over again that she likes him so she has nothing else to do but follow everything Clark wants. Saharra took a deep breath again and started packing. On the other hand, it would be better if they lived in the same place, so that she would have a chance to prove herself to the young man. A martyr act, yes it is. But she has no intention of giving up. She knew that the young man's heart would also soften towards her because he had loved her once. Saharra will just think that the young man also wants to be with her, so she is being moved. Sarah smiled and giggled. She will also win back Clark's heart. And she believed in it. ON THE OTHER SIDE, Clark was mad and upset when he returned home to his penthouse earlier from the restaurant where he and Saharra, his ex-girlfriend, met. He is currently calming down by drinking alcohol while waiting for Saharra to arrive. "Goddammit!" That woman hasn't changed until now. Until now, she is still her inclination to leave him. That's what he hates the most about Saharra's behavior. When she gets hurt, she prefers to walk away rather than face the problem and solve them together. She prefers to run than stay by his side. She prefers to solve the problem without him. And he hates it. Is that what a couple should do every time there is a problem? Shouldn't they solve it together? How can he trust her again? How will he give his heart if there is fear in him that she might leave him when things get rough again? Clark pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. 'f**k. Until now, she still hasn't changed. She still leaves me.' he cursed at the back of his mind. Clark knows the reason why the woman left and broke his heart before. He understands the reason even if she didn't tell him directly. When he found a reason why Saharra left him, instead of asking, he did the investigation himself. Yes, he understands. But that is not a reason for him not to be afraid of gambling his heart again. Fear of love has no gender. It's just that, if Saharra comes back into his life, he first wants to make sure that the woman won't leave him when her world becomes chaotic again and even if they don't understand the situation. He wants that even if the world turns against them both, they will stay close and hold on to each other. Because that's how the person who loves each other should be. They don't leave each other. When will Saharra think that he is an ally and not an enemy? When will Saharra realize that leaving is never a solution if they can work together? Clark's grip tightened on the breakable glass with only wine and ice. After that, he looked at his wristwatch. Half an hour has passed and Saharra is still not here. He laughed sarcastically. He was upset. He is the one who makes the way for the woman to prove herself. Saharra is the one who wants to enter his life again, but why does it seem like he is the one chasing now? "She really knows how to make my head hurt!" he snorted in vain. Saharra really hurt his head. Clark wasn't so wrong. Every turn of the small hand on his wristwatch he monitored. Did Saharra give up on him? "Tsk." He got up and went to his room. He will just lie down and sleep. It is up to the woman whether she goes or not. He shouldn't have waited for her. He should not raise his hopes. He should not have expected the woman to come. He should get used to it. He gasped violently. He closed his eyes, convincing himself to go to sleep, relaxing himself. But, goddammit! He can't f*****g relax! He looked at the huge wall clock that was on top of his gigantic book shelf inside the room. There are only three minutes left and Saharra still hasn't arrived. Is she really not going? He got up violently from lying down. Just then he heard his cellphone ring. He quickly looked to see who was calling. It was not Saharra but his secretary. "Sir, she's here." He grinned when he heard what his secretary said. He stared at the door as if his gaze would penetrate there. He took a deep breath and smiled. "Let her in." He smiled and went outside his bedroom to greet his ex-girlfriend. 'What can Saharra do this time?'
