WHILE the time passes as Saharra and Clark are together under the same roof, the woman's head hurts even more. Especially when she tries to understand her incomprehensible ex-boyfriend.
It was very difficult and sometimes she lost hope. Sometimes, she even thought of giving up. But every time she does that, she stops herself from leaving the man again.
She has started being a martyr. She has started being stupid. Why would she stop now?
However, she is thankful that Clark is no longer seeing another woman. She was sure of that fact.
Because wherever Clark goes, she is with him. From the time he entered his own company until the two of them returned home to the penthouse, she never left his side.
It's not possible. That's really the reason for that.
She can't get out of his sight as she can't run away. As if she would do that?
In the past months, she was still submissive to her ex-boyfriend. He put its personal assistant and secretary on leave for a year so that she could take over.
And there, she could say, the previous secretary's job was not a joke because Clark was too commanding.
Just like now...
"Water."
Saharra closed her eyes in annoyance and went to his own fridge inside the big office, then took a bottle of water from there. After that, she gave it to Clark.
"Open."
She gasped violently. Since when did her ex-boyfriend become lazy? Just opening a bottle of water, he can't do it?
Saharra suffered secretly. She knew he was just doing everything to get her to give up. But she has no intention of giving up. She started it, might as well, just stand by it.
"Here," she said coldly and gave the bottle again to Clark.
Clark drank all the contents of it and returned it to her again. She took a deep breath and threw the empty water bottle into the trash bin.
Saharra didn't speak or say a word after that. She let herself get lost in watching Clark's handsomeness while his eyes were fixed on the laptop screen. She couldn't help but smile as she watched him.
Her first and last boyfriend is really handsome. Why did they both lead to separate? Why did she let this handsome man go? Why did she hurt and leave him?
But... it's not just because he's handsome that's why she wants to get him back, not even his billions of cash, not even his property nor his luxury life. She wants him even before because she loves him so much and she doesn't see anyone else to love but Clark.
"Stop staring at me." She flinched when she heard Clark's serious voice. She smiled and arranged to sit on the nearby single couch next to his office desk. "You will treat me later."
Her eyes widened. "Shall we go on a date?"
Is she thinking right? Is Clark asking her to date?
"Tsk. Whatever you call that."
Overjoy jumped in Saharra's heart when she heard that. In the few months she's been with Clark, this is the first time they are going on a date. Of course, that doesn't include the times they were still in a relationship.
She couldn't help but smile. The thrill and excitement that Clark brought to her was really different. Even if the young man asked her out on a date or not, she was still thrilled.
"What time are we going on a date?" She asked enthusiastically.
"After I finished this," he answered without even looking at her.
Saharra's imagination became mischievous. What will happen on their date with her ex-boyfriend? What topics can she open so that the two of them can talk? What will they talk about?
Saharra was excited. She even wants to help Clark with what he's doing to speed up so they can go on a date quickly. But she knew that the young man would not allow her and might just yell at her.
So even though she was restless, where she was sitting and wanted to get up so she and Clark could leave, she kept quiet.
Two hours passed and Clark was still giving her constant orders, but she didn't care about his orderliness. If in exchange for that the young man can date, who is she to complain to?
Later, she noticed that Clark had closed his laptop. That was the signal for her to stand up. Saharra even stretched his body because her back seemed to be hooked from sitting.
'Yes! This is it!' she said in her mind.
Saharra quickly approached Clark and smiled widely.
"Let's go—" she couldn't continue what she was going to say when the young man suddenly avoided her.
Suddenly someone called his phone and he had to answer it so she moved away from him. She breathed deeply.
She was embarrassed there, but it was okay.
She waited patiently until Clark finished the conversation from the caller. Clark immediately approached her when he saw her waiting.
"C-Can we go now?" She couldn't help stuttering.
Saharra was afraid to ask Clark something serious because the young man might say that she was leading him on. It's something she won't do because Clark is so different now than the man she loved before.
"Yes."
Saharra's world seemed to light up when Clark said that.
As agreed, they headed to a luxury restaurant. Saharra didn't care what it would cost her. What is important to her is to be with the man she loves.
Her heart was full of joy as she watched Clark order their food. But Saharra's smile gradually disappeared as she noticed that Clark's order was increasing.
Saharra was worried not for herself but for her wallet.
Will her money be carried to pay for the expensive foods?
"What do you want to order?" Suddenly Clark asked her.
She smiled sweetly. "Just water."
And then laughed awkwardly.
The young man frowned. "What?"
"Hehe. I'm on a diet."
"Are you kidding me?"
She sighed and then took the menu. The food at the restaurant chosen by Clark is expensive. It is not the young man who will pay. This man was really torturing her.
But this is the type of restaurant Clark wants. Since he is a billionaire, he can afford all the things he wants. He can order the food he wants. He can buy all the things he wants, important or not.
He even have fancy restaurants, buildings, commercial spaces, offices, warehouses and everything.
Clark didn't choose to eat on his own restaurant. Why? Because he is torturing her.
That man really knows how she spend her money wisely. She doesn't buy things that aren't important. She doesn't often eat in a restaurant because she saves money. But Clark really wants her to be a beggar.
Is Clark really merciless towards her?
She seemed to be tearing her heart and pocket while looking at the food. She looks for the cheapest and that's what she chooses.
"Choose whatever you want." The young man seemed to read her mind when he said that.
Even if she wanted steak, she still wouldn't choose it. As for the price of what Clark ordered, it will no longer fit in her budget.
"O-Okay," was all she said. "I would like to have this one," she said to the waiter who was waiting for her order.
"Is that all you want?"
Actually, no. Her stomach's pet was very hungry so she wanted to eat a lot. But if she eats a lot, she also needs a lot of money.
In the end, she just nodded. "Yes. I'm full."
She heard Clark sighed. "Waiter."
Saharra's eyes widened. "Hey, don't worry. It's okay. I'm really full—"
"Charge everything to her." The young man pointed at her while he was talking to the waiter.
She sat up. She thought that the man would increase her food because he is concerned about her. But he is not.
She just smiled sparingly when the waiter looked at het. "Uhmm— yes. That's all on me."
Until the food we ordered arrived, Clark was silent. Saharra wanted to talk to her ex-boyfriend but he seemed to be in a hurry to eat. However, she wanted to open a conversation.
"Um. Clark—"
"Let me answer this first," he said, then took the phone that was placed on their table and stood up.
He left her and answered the call. Since she had nothing to do, she just ate and waited for her ex-boyfriend to return.
And when Clark got back to their table, she was about to start talking again but someone stopped her. She didn't know if the man was deliberately ignoring her or if it was just a coincidence that he had to do something.
She was once again disappointed.
Saharra still thought that she and Clark would talk. She thought they would have time for each other. Even though they were under the same roof, Clark only had time with her whenever the call of the flesh called. After that, she will be left.
They didn't say anything until they finished eating and left the restaurant. Saharra didn't even try anymore because she knew that in the end she would only be disappointed.
Saharra's heart was heavy when they got into Clark's car. She wanted to shed tears but she knew that if the young man saw that, he would definitely be annoyed with her again. So she tried not to cry.
"Why are you sitting there?" Clark asked her when he noticed that she sat in the back and not in the shotgun seat of the car. "Are you sulking?"
She wanted to say 'yes' but she just shook her head and smiled sweetly.
"Not that. This is really where your secretary's seat is, isn't it?" That was her only excuse.
"Is that so?"
"Hmm." Along with nodding.
"Great. I'll just make you lose your sulk." The energy in Saharra's system came alive when she heard that from Clark's mouth.
She was unable to react when Clark suddenly moved from the driver's seat to her seat. After that, she saw the young man's teasing smile.
"W-What are you going to do?" She couldn't help stuttering.
The course of her mind was different now, especially when she saw Clark's burning gaze. If her suspicions were correct, she should be nervous.
They were in the parking lot of the restaurant and it was not a good thing to do in this place, she thought.
They are in the parking area, for pete's sake!
"What else? Obviously, sex."
She gasped for a breath. Saharra felt displeasure toward her ex-boyfriend and here he is, he will add her sultry more.
"Clark, it's not possible here—"
"It is. Whenever and wherever I want," he said harshly.
Sahara was scared. She is not perfect to be like this and for Clark to treat her like this. But can she do anything?
In the name of love, she will become a slave.
Clark began unbuttoning her polo blouse. She took a deep breath as her heart was really disappointed and she didn't have the pleasure to be with the young man. That didn't suit how she was feeling right now.
A few moments later, she felt Clark's warm lips on her neck. Slowly traversing around her neck towards the back of her ear until reaching her jaw. Even though the young man was doing that, she wasn't even carried away.
Clark's courage to use her body now despite giving her resentment.
And when the young man's lips hit hers, instead of being satisfied because the man she loved was now kissing her, at the same time she closed her eyes to try to feel his lips, her tears that she had been holding back started to flow.
'Is it really this hard to win you back, Clark?'
The next moment, Clark noticed her tears. He stopped kissing her and frowned as he looked at her.
"You're crying?" he obviously asked.
Saharra tears flow unstoppably. She wants to follow whatever Clark wants. She wants to be by his side anytime and anywhere. She wants to prove that she is worth loving for and she is worthy of his second chance.
But...
"Why do I need to be your slave? Am I going to be a slave for your love or just for your lust?"
