1862 Words
Daisy trembles in fear as the shadow takes a step closer to her. “W…who are you!” She calls out to the figure which seemed to disappear and appear. “Do you know your battles, Daisy?” It asked, eyes beaming red. “Of course I do. To take revenge on my father's death and find out who it is no matter what.” She replied, braver than before. “Hmm, I see. You're just like your father, strong, brave and determined. Although that's what brought him to his demise” The shadow laughs horrifyingly. “What do you mean? You know the person don't you?” Daisy asked with certainty. “ Tell me! Who is it!” “That I can't do. I only came to you as a sign of warning. You have to be careful of the path you choose. Choose wisely.” The shadow's voice fades off slowly. Leaving a dawning silence underneath the moonlight skies. Sunrise setting on the forest mountain… Walking back home to her family, Beta's cottage. She feels drawn to her parents' graveyard. There she sees the tomb of her parents lying side by side. With each moment there, she sees the replay of that fateful incident that happened to her parents. It got stuck Like a recorder which kept replaying over and over again. With one final glance, she wolfed out, howling to the moonlight as it shimmered around her. Daisy disappeared into the shadows of the forest, seeking shelter and comfort from the pains in her heart. After a big sprint of running in wolf form, she transforms back to her human self, exhausted. After some minutes of walking, she came across a stream of water to take a drink. That's when she saw Robert entangled with Camilla again. “Robert! Again! Nor could you betray me?” Daisy's eyes widened, her voice pierced like a knife. Robert pleaded; “Daisy, listen… Daisy cuts him short again; No! Don't you dare say another word! The scent of Camilla lingers on your skin, Robert. A cruel reminder of your infidelity to me, your mate! Roberts tries to calm her down; “it is not what you think. Camilla… Daisy chuckles; Camilla? The daughter of Pack C? Camilla? The one who hates me, and you, my mate, stay entangled with her? Robert begs; Daisy, listen… Daisy angrily replies; No more lies! My father's reputation was tarnished unjustly, all because of your betrayal. He was an honourable man, and now his memory is tainted, destroyed and tossed aside like he didn't matter! “Daisy, I “ Robert approaches her. Daisy gets more hurt and upset; Save it. I don't want to hear your excuses. You chose her over me. You chose to break our bond, our connection, and for what? A forbidden love that can never be? Robert, now wrapped in guilt, couldn't hold himself anymore. “It's not that simple! Just get over everything! This isn't the first time you've seen us together! He yells back at her.” Daisy takes a step back, tears in her eyes; “How could you say this to me? I trusted you, Robert. I believed in us. Now I'm left with nothing but anger and heartache. The moon watches silently, witness to my pain. Robert replies harshly; “ Daisy, Just stop! Enough of all these dramas!” Daisy lost, confused and broken gaze at him one last time; “Goodbye, Robert. Our souls may be entwined in eternity, but in this life, you've lost me for good. She quickly flees to her cold tent. The pain was unbearable for her to contain. She knew she couldn't do anything but play along in their dreadful games. Back in her cottage, a thought came down on her, and instinctively, as a wolf, she obeyed. The time has come and a chance she must take to uncover the secrets hidden. “I have to find out what happened to my father one way or the other.” She tells herself as she quickly makes her way out of her drenched, creepy cottage. At night, she would transform into a werewolf sniffing out strange smells, which led to finding clues to letters. On her arrival back she hears footsteps approaching close to a nearby swamp lake. Their voices were becoming faint as the strange voices moved further into the woods. Immediately, she shifted to a werewolf, enabling her to hear their voices from miles away and their scent. She crept slowly behind them like a sneaky lion about to pounce on her prey. Lying low behind a tall tree just behind a cave. The voices began speaking again; what she heard baffled her, and her thoughts ran wide. “The death of Beta James was a gruesome thing to witness. I don’t believe he would kill his pack, talk about someone close to him.” The unknown voice speaks. “What are you trying to say?” Said the other voice, who seemed lost, trying to keep along with the conversation. “I’m saying that I saw the person who killed Aron that night. Someone who I fear and should never be messed with.” The first voice said. “What?!” The second voice shouts. “Shh! Nobody should know about this, understand?” The first voice warns seriously in fear. Looking up to the sky Daisy noticed the moonlight almost fading away, which transformed her back to human form. The bone c***k noises as she transformed back to herself which got their attention. “Who is that!” They both turned around sniffing the air with their noses. Slowly coming closer to a bush opposite them they found out that it was only a squirrel. Daisy was lucky enough to have hidden behind a rock before they could spot her. Her heart panting fast. “That was close,” She said, looking out for any more trouble. She immediately follows the opposite direction and heads back to her cottage. “I think we better head back before the full moon rises. I wouldn’t want to transform and walk back naked. They both laugh and disappear into the forest. Daisy gets back to the old cottage. Now she holds important information waiting to be unravelled. She sniffed through the dusty papers, her fingers trembling as she fixed pieces of fragments of a letter she found. The letter read, To my Lunar: “It may be too late to say this, but meet me at the entrance of the historian's chambers. There's something you need to see. You're mate.” Puzzled at what the letter read, I could only wonder what My dad wanted to show my mom. A secret? A clue? A forbidden place? What could it be? Was this what led to his betrayal? An enemy of his? Whatever it was, I need to know what happened that day. It could lead me to my answers I have been searching for At dusk in the moonlight forest… I sneaked quietly out of my family Beta's house seeking an answer to my father's demise. Darkness surrounds me, my vision got twice better, my sense of smell got high, sensing the faintest of smell from miles away. The moonlight shone brightly as ever, my eyes showing the reflection of the moonlight. I transformed into a werewolf once again. I take off into the darkness sprinting into the ancient temple. Moments later… I arrived but back to my human form. I see a lonely path leading to a huge gate. I follow the road which leads me to the doorway to the ancient temple. For a moment I paused, taking in my breath of what awaits me. Searching for a way to unlock the massive doors I mistakenly pushed a hidden button right behind the door. Immediately the door swings wide opening revealing ancient were-wolf pack leaders. , I step into the temple, slowly moving forward taking careful glances at different artifacts. On my left I see pictures and status of dead pack leaders and to my right I see different weaponry of sort which seems mysterious and strange. Why was it here? What was their purpose for? More importantly, why is it kept hidden? These questions raced through my mind seeking answers. I brought the letter which my father had written earlier to my mom about something she wanted to show her. It read again; “There's a box in a tomb. Open it and take what you see. This is our family hire loom. Protect it at all costs.” I looked desperate for the tomb my father had talked about. One last attempt to search for the tomb I found it at a distance and quickly walked to the direction it was. Carefully opening the tomb there it was the box my dad had spoken about. I picked it up. Carefully touching the surface of the box. I opened the box to find out a red Ruby pendant embedded with a wolf markings reading; “Torn by moonlight” Suddenly a figure approached me from behind which turned out to be Alpha Charles. I quickly kept the pendant in my back pocket. “What are you doing here!” Alpha Charles' voice firm and scary. “I came to find answers to my dad's betrayal.” I told him. “Answer? Haven't you learnt anything Omega.” he glances at me. “Yes and that's to prove my dad's innocence.” I spat. “You're dad was a Betrayal to his own pack! He is a murder!” Charles' eyes dimming red. I walked towards him; “No! My dad was innocent and you killed him!” “He deserved death, Daisy.” he looked straight into my eyes. There it was again, the same word I hear overtime. Why did things have to be like this? What games does the universe have for me? Why me? Alpha Charles caughts me again. “For going against our law and dishonouring the pack you are hereby Banished forever!” My eyes went still as I tried to make sense of what I heard. “ Banished? You can't do that!” “I can! I will! I am the Alpha now and you're nothing but an Omega!” He calls out the members of his pack forcing them to drag me away for exile. I couldn't believe it, my own pack members didn't make an attempt to fight for me. I indeed was nothing to them but only an Omega in their eyes. It was time for me to be Banished from my pack. “Farewell Daisy, a Betrayal's Beta's Daughter.” Alpha Charles tells me amongst other pack members. “Fine, I'll go but I promise you this, I will find out who betrayed my father and promise to take vengeance!” I Wandered off into a different territory in the midst of the moonlight. Though the path I strayed wasn't meant for venturing alone especially at darkest hours at night. Prey's victims go in and end up dead. Would I survive or not? Only fate knows my end.
