Torn By Moonlight

Scared and unsure of what to make out of the fateful incident that happened in the dim light of the shadows of the moonlight. My father was accused of treason and Betrayal by his pack members. How did it happen? Who framed my father? I don't know. At that moment, I thought it was a dream, but it wasn't at all a dream but a reality which played right in front of me. My mom? Devastated and heartbroken. One thing is certain: I will find who framed my father, and I promise to end their lives without hesitation. *Ominous sound playing in the background* “Get him! Get him!” shouted Alpha Charles sending his troops into our home. Suddenly, our door swings wide open, revealing Alpha Charles and his troops surrounding him. His face tightened making his way into our home. Silence dawned still as everyone in our pack watched wide-eyed. I stayed close to my mom who trembled with shock and fear. My father, himself, came out from the shadows revealing his face. “Alpha Charles! Who gave you the right to invade my home without my permission!” Yelled my father Facing head to head with alpha Charles. Alpha Charles walked a Few paces towards my dad, both grinding teeth. “Betrayal! You are no longer our alpha!” He bellowed eyes filled with anger. “What do you mean! I'm your alpha! I am your leader!” My father ordered as he howled to the moonlight. Charles gestured to one of his troops. “ Bring him” Moments later… His troops bring forth a dead, lifeless body of a deceased member of our pack by the name of Aron. He was the close-hand advisor to my father, which had a great impact on the pack's growth and territory marks. My father fell slowly on his knees; “No, it can't be”, he said. Alpha Charles leaned closer to him. Raising his face with piercing eyes; “Betrayal!” “Size him!” He ordered his troops who surrounded my father as he struggled to free himself from their tight grip. The showdown of my dad fighting off his pack member with claws and teeth going neck to neck as they transformed into werewolves in an epic battle of betrayal towards the pack. My mom watched from a distance; her mate was dragged and injured, which brought more pain to her eyes. Out of desperation, she ran to my father, trying to help him up. “My moon, are you ok?” She calls him with trembling hands. “ My Lunar, you're not safe here. Take Daisy and leave.” He struggled. “What? We can't abandon our home. We…” she gets interrupted by Alpha’s Charles voice. “You Know the penalty of betrayal from a Pack member? Don't you?” He glances at my father. My dad's eyes were shocked and wide open. “Execution!” “NO!” wails my mom and I in disbelief. “No, Alpha Charles, please reconsider. My mate wouldn't betray his pack. He's been a respected and historical man, a leader and an Alpha to the entire pack!” My mom tried to hold back her tears. Alpha Charles glances at my dad, who is completely injured and glances back at my mom. He takes a few steps towards my mom, going down to his knees and slowly lifting her face to his. “Ah, that's right. His favourite mate. You only have two choices. Either you be my mate or you die with a Betrayal like him. It's your choice.” He lets go of my mom's face and rises to his feet. “My Lunar, do as he asked. Save yourself and Daisy. Do it for me.” My father's pleading eyes heavy with tears. My mom turns to him with love; “ No. I wouldn’t Betray our love for a crime you didn't commit. I would turn all odds down even if it's to face death with you.” Those words went through me like an arrow shattering my entire world. My mom was ready to die with her mate, to die with the very man who was entwined with her by the moonlight. Minutes later… Alpha Charles returns with more troops from his pack. He moves towards my mom and slightly tilts his head. “Well, your answer?” voice deep like a cold sore. “I'd rather die with my mate than be with an unjust man like you!” she spit at him. He immediately slaps my mom across her face. “I see. You've made your choice. Size them both, now! ” He ordered. “Execution!” His words were swift. I ran immediately to the aid of my parents hoping to get redemption. “Please have mercy!” My body trembling in fear. “Quiet! You little Omega. ” He growled at me. His eyes cold as ice. I tried all I could to get him to give me the slightest chance to speak but he cut me short. “One more word and you'll join your family.” His eyes growling with anger as a sign of warning. I became mute, frozen. My body trembled from head to toe as I watched my father and Mother dragged away by my pack members. I could only watch from a distance as streams of tears filled my eyes. That was it, it was finally over… The painful wails of my parents were what I heard. Their cry for mercy and injustice punctured my heart. I stay still helplessly, my world-shattering right between my eyes. I said to myself; “They are dead” ***************************************************** Three days after… With my parents gone and what's left of them I was seen as an outcast in my pack, an Omega of a Betrayal's daughter. I was treated like a stranger and had restrictions on doing normal activities I would always do. I didn't know of the fate that awaited me, but I hoped that my name wouldn't be erased from our family Lineage. Days turned to nights as I slept alone in my family Beta's home isolated from the pack. The next morning… I leave my cottage to join other members of the pack. The pack's troops had just hunted down a deer. With rumbling stomachs, everyone dug in, of course except for me. Alpha Charle, now the new pack's leader, stops me from joining the feast. I was always left with scraps of food leftovers. “Here you go, Omega. Eat up.” he throws the remnants at me. Due to how hungry I was I had no choice but to eat whatever I could get to survive. At dusk when the moonlight shone brightly. It was that time to meet my betrothed, my mate, the only person whose paths were entwined. Robert, the son of Alpha Charles. The time my dad was Alpha and leader of our pack, Robert and I were made mates and bound by wolf markings on our wrists as kids to eternal lovers. Whenever the moonlight shone brightly, it meant the moon scented his presence nearby. I transformed into a werewolf, tracing his scent to a nearby forest floor covered with wildflowers and tall trees. Back to my human form, the moonlight fades off a bit. Leading me to where I could find him. Filled with happiness to meet my mate, I find him in the arms of another woman from Pack C named Camilla. This broke my heart in pieces as I watched from afar to see him intertwined with another. I slowly stepped out of the forest floor to see him close up with her. “What? Robert? h…how could you do this to me!” I gasped, catching my breath. Robert's eyes widened in shock. Robert's voice sounded cold as ice. "What are you doing here? Your father betrayed us all! He deserves his fate." He said with no emotion. “How dare you speak about My father with your filthy mouth!” Anger filled my heart. Robert was shocked at what I had told him. He slowly approaches me and instantly slaps me right across my face with no hesitation. “Watch it, omega! next time I'll kill you!” Robert tells me cruelly, and hand in hand, he heads off outside with Camilla. “Robert! Robert!” I yell helplessly to him, but he turns deaf ears to my calls. My status as an omega sealed my fate. Robert's betrayal left me broken and alone. I swallowed my pain, my tears, and my love. I would fight for my father's innocence, even if it meant facing rejection from my pack. I gazed at the moonlight and whispered: “Father, do not worry. I will avenge your death, find and kill the person behind the conspiracy one way or the other. That's my promise to you.” Suddenly, a rustling in between the forest trees gets louder and louder, revealing a dark shadow. “Never make a promise you know you're not prepared to keep under the moonlight. The shadow hisses, sending fear down my spine.
