"Those blue, blue eyes, icy blue, looking back at me as if I could warm them up. They're pretty powerful, you know, those eyes, pretty beautiful, too." - Lucy Christopher   Hunter Dominic Valdez's PoV: "Where the f**k are you Sean?" My voice boomed inside the car. I pushed the accelerator, driving at an insane speed.  "You sound pissed. What got you?" He said laughing. Just what I wanted to make me angrier. That a**hole is finding my anger amusing? He is my best friend after all. "I want to have a drink. Get some and meet me at mine." Cutting the call, I threw my phone on the passenger seat. A drink and for the night would definitely do it. It's been a week, a whole f*****g week since I got laid. The thought somehow made my mind trail back to the Cupid. Besides her attitude, her eyes were the second thing that caught my attention. Unlike her attitude, they were... Mesmerizing. I swear, I almost lost control when they flickered to my lips. I groaned while driving the car. A whole week without s*x was finally getting up to me. I can't believe I was finding her eyes mesmerising, I must be desperate. "Time for fun," I muttered to myself, after parking the car outside my condo. Locking the car, I proceeded towards the lift. The door to the lift opened, and a boy was already inside. I felt disappointed to not find Sean anywhere in sight. He better not be late. I pressed the floor button on the lift and stood in one corner silently. Suddenly, the guy beside me cleared his throat. Don't talk to me please, I am anything but talkative. "So, you live here?" No, I am just a lunatic who visits floors through lifts just for fun. I nodded but that didn't seem to affect his over-enthusiastic behaviour at all. "By the way, which floor?" Just a few more seconds. "7th," I said curtly, shooting murderous glares straight at the elevator door. "What a coincidence, I have just shifted there." I could hear him laugh as I cursed from inside. Not only a bad day but also a bad neighbour. "Great," I said sarcastically. Just then the door to the lift opened and I took long strides out. "Oh, I am Elijah and you?" His annoying voice made me stop midway. I have had enough. Ignoring him, I stride towards my condo. As if having a bad day wasn't enough, so this stupid guy showed up. I hated over-enthusiastic people, exactly like him and at the moment it was becoming unbearable. Slamming my condo door behind, I slumped myself onto the couch. My gaze went to the small chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It shone just like the whole condo. My mother had gifted this place to me on my last birthday, a gift I needed. Father was pushing me to work on my own, months before his death and wanted me to get a place on my own. Unlike my father, my mother actually cared about me to gift it as the new place to live. At least, she doesn't value Kyle over me. The bell rang, and I ran to open it. After all, I had been waiting for my liquor for so long. Opening the door, I found Sean standing with two bottles in his hands. "Just two?" I said as he pushed me aside to enter. If tomorrow will be the same as today then I might need more than just one. "You'll already be cursing me tomorrow morning." He put the bottles down and grabbed two glasses from the kitchen. "What's with that mysterious coat you asked me to buy?" He was talking about earlier when I had asked him to bring a black coat for breaking into Cupid's office, a stupid idea it was but I had more plans. Yet, I can't get her eyes out of my mind and that figure that was barely visible through her long coat. I have to admit, she was hot. Those long raven hair, blue eyes like the deepest of seas and- Wait what the fu**? This is getting too much. She is getting on my mind and the lack of s*x is making it intolerable. Sean poured me a glass, and I gulped it down in one go. I roughly put the glass down then, "I went to see the Cupid." Sean spat the drink out, laughing. "For what? Relationship advice?" He rolled on the couch laughing. I rolled my eyes and poured myself another glass. "That dumb Cupid & Co. is my competing rival." This time I laughed myself. How stupid the people were trying to mend relationships instead of just coming to The Love Lust for a one night stand. I started working on The Love Lust long before my father died, it was successful back then but since The Cupid had been topping the charts, my business was declining rapidly. "How many have you gotten hooked in the last week? Sean asked leaning in. "I shouldn't have made it official." I slumped my head back on the headrest. After my father's will came to my knowledge, I had to make it officially known. "That will's a bite in the ass." Sean was already getting tipsy. He wasn't wrong, my life turned had turned ugly with nothing to help me through. It was time, I take the matter into my own hands, it was time for The Cupid's reign to end. No matter how hot she was, I wouldn't lose my inheritance because of a silly relationship consultant. After some time and a few more reckless drink and drunken talks, I felt my eyelids getting heavier. That's why I loved getting drunk, you feel nothing except pure euphoria. Did I mention how bad the outcome of this euphoria can be? Yeah, I hadn't realized that until the next morning. "Wake up man." I groaned at Sean who was calling my name. Argh, my head felt like s**t. Side effects of not drinking for too long. Too occupied with work, I had left drinking too much a month ago. "F**k off." I pulled the pillow tighter over my face. "I gotta go, have somewhere to be." Sean's words made me snap my head at him then sit up. Shit. "What time?" I asked looking around hastily as another headache rumbled somewhere deep in my head. "11." I cursed under my breath and ran to the washroom. "What?" Sean asked watching me run to my closet. "Got an appointment with The Cupid." with that, I disappeared behind the washroom door.
