"Yeah I get it, you're not coming for Christmas and you don't have to, I'm sad, but I'll get over it, maybe adopt a new daughter that'll love and treat me right, and maybe while at it, get one whose wolf would awaken," mama said sadly, her words stung like venom, but I wasn't just going to be guilt-tripped into going back to Montréal except if I really wanted to, my life was here in the city of Vethania and it was going to be that way till I marry Derrick, mama had to start getting used to it, starting from this very first Christmas I won't be spending with her. "Mama, I've gotta get out of the tub now; let me know how the adoption process goes; if you need anything, remember I've got you. I might not have my wolf, but I have my wits," I jokingly said. "I love you, have a nice day, but I've got a man to surprise, so bye" I removed the phone from my ear, cut the call and dropped the phone on the stand just beside my bathtub, and sighed. I put on my boots and dashed to the mirror by my door, stared into it, and loved how I looked. Well, I didn't look anything short of an office worker, but I still looked good enough.
