Noticing someone watching her, Evelyn slowly lifted her gaze.
She glanced in Joshua's direction.
But he had already looked down, masking whatever emotion had flickered through his eyes.
Right then, Gerald turned to Evelyn and Julian. "Have you two talked about where you'll live after the wedding?"
Evelyn shifted her gaze to Julian.
Julian responded in a calm tone, "Whatever you think is best, Grandpa."
He wasn't dumb. Gerald wouldn't just ask such a question in front of Bernard and the others if he didn't already have something in mind. The moment Julian returned, the family had heard about him buying a new place. So if Gerald brought it up now, he clearly had plans.
At that, Caroline's face turned cold, visibly annoyed.
