Afraid?

Grayson POV's

I was elated when my beautiful mate woke up, but seeing her so weak made me angry, don't get me wrong, I don't mind her being weak but I want to hurt whoever made her weak. This made me wonder where my mate came from, her old pack maybe but which pack was it. I want to just kill everyone who has ever hurt my precious mate. I swear to the moon goddess that I will wipe out an entire pack of those who dares lay a finger on her.

I felt her put her hand on mine, probably to calm me down, I smiled gratefully at her, but at the same time I felt her fear. I wonder what she was afraid of. Could it be her old pack members, that's not possible she already ran from the pack. Was I scaring her? I quickly minding my beta to  find out two things, firstly, her old pack and also every possible thing that she could be scared of. 

"What are you so afraid of mate?" I asked soothingly, hoping not to scare her anymore as she was looking like she have seen a ghost.

"A-aren't y-you going t-to reject me? I me-meant be-because I am a r-rogue r-runt?" She asked me stammering as she did. Like hell I'm going to reject what the moon goddess gave me. Just thinking of it made me mad, did she wanted me to reject her? But why? I couldn't understand. Everyone meets their mate at the age of 16. If they haven't, they wait for them till they do.

"I will never reject you, now and forever. You will be my mate," I growled out slightly but seeing her shrink away I quickly calmed myself down in hope of not scaring her anymore than I did.

"R-really?" She asked me, a little spark went off in her eyes, it made me happy knowing I had given her some hope, even if it was little. I swear to the moon goddess that I'm going to treat her like a queen. She wouldn't be my equal, she will be above me and if anyone dares to even lift a finger on her, I will personally make their life a living hell hole. 

"Sorry to bother you alpha but Ella wants to meet our new luna," my beta mindlinked me, Ella was Asher's mate, the beta female of the pack.

"Your luna is a still a little shook from what happened so I would like to let her fully recover first before meeting anyone," I mindlinked back. I knew my mate needed space and time to recover and till then I think that she wouldn't really like to meet anyone.
